There's not muçh scalpers since all the online stores (except Amazon Japan) use a lottery system picking random people. The problem is almost half of the models sold were the digital edition. That's one of the main reason why not many ps5 games are on the chart

Sooo did those 40k PS5 users bought a PS5 game?

*28k

12k of them bought a digital PS5 so they're obviously not going to buy a disc version of a game.

So it looks like PS5 games will find it hard to chart on Famitsu unless they include digital sales.

Well, it seems I was in error thinking PS5 launch would have damaged Switch sales (and it's not happening, at least not this year and probably not next year either) :D

Instead the PS5 launch is harming only PS5 itself since its clear there are not enough units to satisfy the demand. In other words, in an ideal situation (no covid, no Microsoft competition) it had been better for Sony to posticipate launch in February/March 2021 to have more units and a big exclusive game available at launch, because from what i'm hearing anyone buying a PS5 right now is doing it for (mostly) playing PS4 games on the new hardware.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild NS becomes the best selling Zelda game of all time in Japan

To think at some point I thought 7M for the year would be possible for the Switch but now even 6M seems like a stretch.

Expected drop for Zelda Musou I guess.
