Not to bad for a platform on launch of PS5, the game looked average but fun and with nice color. 5 reviews averaging 75

Sackboy is a smart and colorful platform game, filled with fun moments and loyal to its LittleBigPlanet’s roots.

The Big Adventure starts slowly, very slowly. Then, from nowhere, it starts going completely crazy, bringing together art, music and challenge, building a perfect experience for its target audience.

Simple but yet fun platformer that doesn't want to do nothing new, but manages to entertain if it's played with friends. Easy and uncomplicated proposal that could have been much better with a bit more ambition. Just imagine a LittleBigPlanet game without its creativity side, add 3D levels, furry graphics and some excellent musical levels. That's what this game is.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a decent platforming game that’s stuffed with charm, if a little lacking in imagination, which is a shame for a franchise built on creativity. Saying that, if you’ve got children, this is a must-buy for some family-friendly PS5 fun.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure starts off slow, feeling like a hollow reflection of the franchise, but eventually grows into its new 3D platforming elements. It's at its best when it blends the new with the old, when there's power-ups, side-scrolling and a meaningful challenge, but it takes a bit too long to get it together.

It jumped to 77 with one more review. I'm guessing it will end up anywhere between 75 and 80. Solid score for a launch game... although I honestly expected the game to be better. I was really looking forward to play it on PS4... but I think I'll wait for a sale.

Slightly disappointing. I was expecting more, with hopes it would be Mario 3D World quality. There isn't enough family friendly couch coop games, very few great ones.  Sackboy strikes me as a bargain bin pickup.

No doubt few devs have the experience and expertise of Nintendo to make platformers. From Sony side we have Japan Studio being the most experienced and well Astro's Room have reviewed well and the better imho is Insomniac and Ratchet and Clank is coming soon so let's see how it will be received.

Most people classify Ratchet as a platformer, I never did. For me it is a 3rd person shooter. Not that it matters, I love the Ratchet franchise, minus the ps4 remake. Crack in Time was particularly amazing.

Ultimately I still want a ps5 for Souls, God of War and Horizon 2.

Yes, there is more elements of 3rd person shooter than platform on the games I played. But when it is on platforming sections it is very well implemented. They aren't hard or that dependent on timing and precision though.

I would say Jack & Daxter always was more of a platformer than Ratchet. It's a shame Naughty Dog feels to "grown up" to get into a new Jak, because it's easily my favourite Sony franchises

Nice. I wonder if the lack of online functionality at launch hurt the scores. la

Let's hope not, I don't like reviewers doing review on what they think the game should be instead of what it is.

Astro is looking down on Sackboy and saying "Hmph. Pathetic."

Is there dlc that lets you wear an Astrobot costume? Because that would be awesome!
