It surprised me a little, our continent is clearly geared towards Nintendo and Sony, seeing the Xbox out of stock made me weird. Maybe it can sell as much as the Xbox 360 which has been a hit in Europe (for an Xbox)

Besides that, how many went to scalpers
Scalpers are everywhere and trying to make a few extra bucks. In Australia a lot of Series X are available through FB Marketplace and other sites. And there are also plenty being traded for a PS5!
Here in Sweden for us who did not pre order we have to wait until January before we can get our hands on a Series X. I was hoping to get it before christmas :/
MS had months of pre-order to gauge demand for launch, so if they supplied just a little over the Pre-Order to those countries then it would be sold out no matter what. This can't really show if it sold good or not, I hope it had healthy sales. From what I have seem on several posts through VGC, seems like Xbox Series worldwide sold about 1.1M or so, a little above X1.
duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."
