Would that count as a launch window game for Series X?

SONY's choice to overspend on timed-exclusive content is idiotic, so was the choice to suddenly make next-gen games cross gen.

This Jim Ryan guy is yet to prove himself as a worthy leader.

Overspend depends on how much they spent. A couple of millions would be a bargain considering the free marketing they will get out of it and what they may make back from sales.

I wonder why it says "console exclusive" if going by that trailer, it's really timed exclusive.

Not an excessive time. But most important is discovering if the game will do well on sales.

Perfect amount of time when the game is forgotten then. Seriously this looks like the most launch game Gaas but dead in a few months game I ever saw. The only benefit it has is launching with PS5. If it was mid gen it would be DOA. It's just so painfully generic looking. The physical versions are useless and you still need to be online 24/7 to use it. Warframe survived its crappy beginnings by being totally free and people played because free until it turned into something pretty good. I don't think a $70 entry fee will get the same deal.

Not good, they exposed their hand too soon. I figured it be a year. Now people can wait it out easy.

Usually the duration is know before the game releases.

I believe Sony helped fund development and advertise this title in return for the exclusive launch window of 6 months. Was it worth it? We will have to wait and see really. It could be a flop on all platforms.
