Subjective opinions can't really be bet upon though

The lock however... what would you call ASAP? I mean, the site clocks were never even fixed so your posts are showing as an hour into the future already for me. And if posts are still being made an hour from now then it wasn't really "ASAP"

i wouldn't go by actual time anyway, seeing as it depends on which mod is online for taking action but first mod post=lock

Ok, I'm willing to bet that there'll be at least 2 posts (mod, or non-mod, both count) after the first mod post before it's locked, if you're up for those terms?

I know of two things deleted.
A) Spam bots. Those deserve to be deleted.
B) Nightly Poe. They apparently requested the spam delete.
Oh and C) Banned people creating alts.

So yeah I'm all for them being deleted.

They want attention. So remove the posts, remove the attention.

  • Deadliest high school shooting in US history (02/14/2018)
  • Deadliest massacre of Jews in US history (10/27/2018)
  • Political assassination attempt of TWO former presidents(and 10+ other people)  (10/23/2018 - and beyond)

As far as I'm aware all posts of any permabanned users are deleted these days. Haven't really kept on eye on who's getting banned much, but it seems that way from the little  do know at least.

Although even if it were just spam bots/alts, my 2nd point still stands. VGC isn't good at dealing with deleted posts. It messes up threads, unread messages and probabyl some other stuff. Now when that was an issue (in a only a couple of places I might add) because ioi was cheating to get a milestone post that was a different matter. For starters that was ioi, but also it was kind of a funny reason and a one off. It was contained to one (or a select few?) thread and that's it. Seems much more widespread now and without the funny back story.

Snoopys post are still there. https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/126458/snoopy/posts/#content

The others I can't tell original from alt. So I never checked. Like Bonzinga is an alt and still has his posts.

I've had no trouble with threads. Sure they will be orange and say "0" but I click them and they work.

I'm going back on what i said just because the following logic :

I don't have the problem so it doesn't exist

We don't delete posts outside of spam accounts.
Unless the user requested it, which has only happened once to my recollection in the past almost 2 years, and that was Nightly Poe.
And in that case an Admin takes care of it.

Edit: Seems this isn't the case. Examples of who you're talking about would help @Ka-pi96

I have a feeling already, but just for clarity.

Who are we talking about exactly?

The Spam Delete option is rarely used and is typically only ever used on Spambots.

I've Spam deleted roughly 20 Spambots over the course of the week who didn't post in the forums but were spamming users walls with "I want to fuck your pussy" but if he spammed that in threads too I would have still used it.

NightlyPoe requested his Spam Delete from Machina.

Also Ka-pi, if you're going to make a thread to suggest a wide spread problem, can you at least mention who you are referring to?

To my knowledge only one member has ever requested to have all their posts deleted.

Which ones?

Good ones? The ones that you didn't even know were mods? Ones you knew but were pointless and may as well not have been mods? Or... the other kind?

best ask that in a pm or discord

*in before usual mod reply* this whole thread is better for a PM or discord tbh

No actually, tell us which 2 mods quit?
