I dunno about that, just 1 year in PS3 got Uncharted Drake's Fortune which was a massive leap over anything on PS2. |
True. But again, Naughty Dog.

I think this is probably the main reason I found PS3 so much more interesting than PS2.
In both gens I played my multiplats on Xbox, but while PS2's first party offerings never really appealed to me, I really liked the Resistance and Uncharted games for example.

Same. I enjoyed the PS3 more than I did with the PS2, and 1st party PS2 games never really got a lot of my attention.
I wish Sony and Insomniac can do another Resistance game!

Yeah Resistance was cool, I'd love to see a reboot on PS5.

*fingers cross. I also hope they include couch coop again. I'm just a sucker for them xD
I honestly can't pick one. This thread is about quality in general, not quality of specs or other things.
I think the Wii U is at least slightly underrated and the Switch is slightly overrated. Despite the Switch being undeniably better overall than Wii U, I don't think it's that big of a step up overall. It inherits some of the Wii U's problems and even creates some more.
Wii may have had better software than Wii U, but the Wii U is a much better device otherwise. Look at the RAM, for instance. I know RAM is just one indicator of performance. But Wii is an abysmal 88 MB. Wii U is 2 GB. Yes, that would quickly be outdone by the Xbox One and PS4. But I think that was too be expected. Wii has an awful 512 MB of internal storage. Wii U has 32 GB (8 GB in the basic). 32 GB is bad, but it's superior by 2012 standards than 512 MB was in 2006. So I know Wii is probably a better console overall, due to a lot of the great software. But in most other ways, Wii U was a step up.
A lot of people are saying Saturn to Dreamcast. I never played either of those consoles unfortunately.
Lifetime Sales Predictions
Switch: 151 million (was 73, then 96, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million)
PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 57 million (was 60 million, then 67 million)
PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)
3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

Only 1GB of the Wii U's 2GB of RAM was available for games though, the other half was taken up by its OS which was a lot slower and more bloated than the Wii's.
Personally, I never had any issue with my Wii's internal storage, while my Wii U's ran out with the larger sizes of downloadable games and titles like BOTW and Xenoblade X having hard drive installs.
