It's the future. Sony will be reluctant and greedy, as they have been. Xbox, Windows, and Nintendo will embrace it more than ever.

I think nintendo will benefit the most from cross-platform... I mean let's be honest nintendo's 1st party titles is the reason why people buy their system... with the inclusion of playing competitive games with another system on the go is just sweet

I have a feeling that as the launch hype settles, cross play will also become a bit more scarce.

Call it a hunch, but I believe the only reason Sony was okay with it at all was PR leading up to the PS5, and the Switch isn't really getting the bigger games that people are concerned about having cross platform for.

I hope it does and I think it will happen as internet speeds become faster to where developers won't need to worry about lag when developing cross play servers plus every developer wants to create the next Fortnite and allowing cross play in Fortnite made the game as big as it is today since it allows people to play with friends no matter what platform they're on.

If PS5 says no to it at launch, and Xbox Series X keeps it going (and Nintendo doesn't change its mind), it would likely have a more notable effect. With Fortnite it came after purchase. PS5 would make it a point of choice

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
