Well...yeah. Yeh they are. PS and Nintendo exclusives are regularly outstanding (with a few duds.) Xbox exclusives as of late are few and far between, and the good ones (Mostly Forza, lets be honest) are the exceptions, not the rule.

And i have a problem with trusting Microsoft on speedy development in their studios when the most interesting titles for AAA games(for me) have no gameplay shown, like yes it is great Fable will be back but when, end next gen with some misfortune?

Obsidians Elder scrolls-like game is another one, a giant task that can take many years.

I'm also interested in Senuas sacrifice 2 but again we just have a fancy movie shown as trailer.

Again i plan on playing on all 4 platforms next gen but very curious how long it takes for Microsoft to give me enough incentive to buy their console, i like what they will have but have no idea when.

But I have to say from their showcase this year they are a lot better than gen 8.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Or sign a month or two of GP if/when it is available on TV through Xcloud.

Well I have no rush so I can wait for the specific game to be available on app.

You already got an xbox console?

Cause what i read is that you cannot get the app without this gen or a next gen console, would be great otherwise.

Edit: Oh nevermind i just found Game pass PC ,have a gaming laptop that i can project on my 4k tv so that's fine enough.

If an android smartphone is 100 $ cheaper than an iPhone, does it have a chance of outselling Apple's device?

Hint: no

Same story with PlayStation and Xbox. The brand is just far far stronger. A few bucks more or less won't change anything.

Maybe in the US but that's it. Xbox brand doesn't have the reach PS does. It just feels like Xbox only role for over a decade now is to just keep Sony honest but can never catch up tot hem. Xbox cannot capture Asian markets at all. Europe is a Sony country and took that from SEGA. Xbox as a brand always felt like it's been looking for a home and never fully found one. The US is the closest it has. Xbox One X. Xbox One S. Xbox Series X. Xbox Series S also just confusing names. MS is already in damage control putting out press releases what games work on what. That's not a good sign.

The US is its home. And would at the very least give MS around 30M+ sales in every gen it's in now (barring its first time around). And I am sure if MS can get another 30M in sales from everywhere else they would be happy. I do think what MS is really pushing for now though is services. They want you to own a PS5 but still be subscribed to Xcloud (when that is available).

I also feel that if the upcoming next-gen ends up not having about the same sales performance their current-gen, its likely going to be the last console MS makes.

So you believe that 40% will buy all digital cheaper Xbox but then only 20% will buy all digital cheaper PS5? Why?

Anyways, here is why I say its highly unlikely. Sony plans on having 10M PS5s shipped by march 2021. They will sell out of all that worldwide if they ship that many out.

Secondly, I also believe that sony is going to simply ship out more digital SKUs than the physical SKU, of those 10M shipments, I actually expect it to be like 6M in favor of the digital PS5 to 4M physical.

As for my example and the situation, let me put it another way. Even there wasn't such a massive power gap between the XBSS vs the P5D (for simplicity sake lets just call it a 250% cumulative power hardware advantage in favor of the PS5). Even if that advantage was only like 40%, a $100 more expensive PS console will still sell similarly r better than a $100 cheaper Xbox console. And that has a lot to do with brand power. Its like people forget that even while significantly more expensive than the 360, PS3 was still selling better worldwide each year for most years.

The XBSS doesn't exist in a vacuum, people are going to walk into a store and see that its $299 for a reason (hell they have that awesome looking $499 XBSX right next to it to remind them) and those people would also see that for just a $100 more (assuming the PS5D is $399) you get a lot more hardware for your money, and a PlayStation.

But this is all moot anyway, the people buying these consoles in the first 3-6 months, are mostly people that have already decided that is what they're going to buy as at right now. Question is, who do you think has the larger fan base, mindshare or loyalists?

Got some further information as to why I believe this will be the case.

Based on a survey IGN has done on their twitter account with ~ 140.000 participants on the question

which console you are most likely going to purchase

55.30% said PS5 (disc)

12.90% said PS5 (digital)

23.50% said Series-X

8.40% said Series-S

This means:

2.14 : 1.00 ratio for PlayStation

23% all digital for PS5

36% all digital for XBox

I'd say that's pretty close to what I'm guessing.
