It just feels like Xbox only role for over a decade now is to just keep Sony honest but can never catch up tot hem. Xbox cannot capture Asian markets at all. Europe is a Sony country and took that from SEGA. Xbox as a brand always felt like it's been looking for a home and never fully found one. The US is the closest it has. Xbox One X. Xbox One S. Xbox Series X. Xbox Series S also just confusing names. MS is already in damage control putting out press releases what games work on what. That's not a good sign. |
The US is its home. And would at the very least give MS around 30M+ sales in every gen it's in now (barring its first time around). And I am sure if MS can get another 30M in sales from everywhere else they would be happy. I do think what MS is really pushing for now though is services. They want you to own a PS5 but still be subscribed to Xcloud (when that is available).
I also feel that if the upcoming next-gen ends up not having about the same sales performance their current-gen, its likely going to be the last console MS makes.
