Forums - Nintendo Discussion - CD Projekt Red says The Witcher 3 saw “excellent sales” on Switch

A little off topic, but if I started playing the Witcher (I'm at the part where I had to find a goat) and am not really into it, is it worth pressing on, or can I conclude it's just not my kind of thing?

Are you someone who otherwise tends to enjoy this type of games (single character open-world action RPG)? Then yes, I'd say press on - TW3, IMO, swings from 6-10, depending on diferent aspects of game and what you expect from particular sub-genre, for a fairly solid 8/10 experience.

If you're not into this type of games, then if you're not feeeling it, it is what it is, life is short, play something esle that pulls you in you from the start much more.

I hate that goat, but I love the game. It gets a whole lot better than that, some of the writing is sublime and many locations are jaw-dropping. The sheer amount of great characters is staggering as well. Press on! The goat won't bother you again!

See at the end of the trailer

To be fair, that trailer is from over a year ago, back when the game was scheduled to come out in 2019. That said, in two separate interviews just last month id software reiterated that the Switch version was not only still coming but "close".

Being a year old doesn't make it irrelevant, since we never got any other "general" video, only release trailers.

Never said it was irrelevant per se, more that them saying it's coming over a year ago doesn't carry as much weight as them still saying it's coming less than a month ago.
