I played a few levels yesterday. Not sure how I feel about it just yet, given a chunk of what I played felt like a tutorial. But I am impressed and look forward to playing more.
I can see people disliking this game because its not like classic Battletoads games in gameplay, presentation and its basically a modern cartoon. If you take it as its own thing though, it seems to be a notable beat em' up with a fun story.
With that said, I would like to see another studio take a stab at making something like a classic Battletoads title. Maybe get a studio actively making retro-ish games to do it.
