So there is no physical of this game? Would not most people who would be fans of this be retro gamers who collect? Why would MS not put out a disc version?

"Would not most people would be fans of this be retro gamers who collect?" Great question, no.

Not all gamers are physical game collectors. Not all people who play retro games require physical copies. Especially when you consider we've had many years of people playing retro games via emulation. Emulation is how some titles gained a following.

I think it would be nice if there was a physical version, maybe just do a Gamestop exclusive thing. Realistically though I doubt many would buy compared to digital players.

Minecraft Dungeons was also a $20 digital only title at release but next month a physical version is coming. Maybe in a few months we’ll see a Battletoads physical release as well.

How much have you played and what would your score be?

why would you even react? that guy is symbolical for hating anything related to xbox
report and move on

I don’t bother to even report anymore, seems Xbox threads will forever be fair game for shit posting and concern trolling. Which is fine, I just don’t take any discussion here seriously.

Forgot this was releasing. Will definitely play when I get home. I hope that extra controller I ordered reaches soon so I can play this Co-op with my son

I have no idea how he is allowed to post in Xbox threads. He does it so constantly and its so apparent what he's doing

Well would be good to have a physical copy, I bet a lot of people would want it.

Still do not like the nickolodeon drawing style but looks like the gameplay is fun.

Played a little bit more. It's an odd kind of game. It's missing a lot so far of what made the original Battletoads unique. While a lot of people remember it as a beatemup, a lot of it was actually focused on precision platforming, which is missing here. The new game actually seems to take a lot of inspiration from more modern beat em ups (or hack and slashes which I think are more or less the same thing) like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. Still a perfectly decent game, but maybe not what people wanted out of a revival, and also not quite good enough to truly compete with modern games int he genre.

I have to say i was really surprised by it. I wasn't expecting much after seeing some of the earlier previews, and i also hated the art style. To me it honestly looked like a cheap flash/mobile game. Anyway downloaded it with Gamepass on PC and it kinda blew me away. I hate the humor still its too cheesy but the game i think looks way better then in the previews. Anyway i give it a solid 87 out of 100.

Yep it turned out much better than the last year showing.

I don't get this dude @iceland . Home boy literally didn't know about a parachute in one level, but ends up getting that purge cheevo for less than 4 minutes in it. Unreal.
