Way too close for comfort. If only Lockett hadn't tweaked his ankle, he'd have been exactly where he was supposed to be on that last Seahawks pass, and I could have been spared some unneeded stress.

That Goal Line stop on the 2-pt attempt ended up being the difference maker.

Pretty sure the game-winning stop from 1yd out at the end was the difference maker lol.

Maybe the call was a bit too obvious from the Pats, but given what we'd seen all match I was sure they couldn't stop it.

Seahawks really dodged a bullet there. Made a game that didn't feel too competetive most of the night look it, and then at the end were really just lucky to get away. What other coach would think it's a good idea to go for a deep pass on 3rd and 1, when another 1st down effectively ends the game.

No, that failed 2-pt conversion was the key. If that succeeded, NE could have just kicked the FG and send it to OT with the momentum on their side. But because it failed, a FG on that last drive wouldn’t have done jackshit, so they needed the TD, giving Seattle that extra chance they needed to make that last stand.

And I think that last Offensive play was more of a Wilson call than a Carroll call.

They literally needed 1yd and they win the game. No overtime needed. How is that play somehow less important?

Because it gave Seattle’s defense a chance to make their last stand and set up that last stop.

Especially since they already tried that Cam run the first time, so they knew it was coming the 2nd time.

I've been very impressed with Cam in this offense so far. They're still sorely lacking weapons, but he's managed to build some amazing chemistry with what they do have already, and his style of play is definitely a better fit for it. The o-line also seems much improved from last year (assuming they stay healthy).

Still don't see how they hang with most high-scoring teams though. Most of them aren't just going to gift them a 7pt handicap to start the match.

But even if it goes to overtime, they still have to score again, and possibly stop Seattle from scoring again. Whatever you say about momentum, it's not a given they'd just win if it did. Just like it wasn't a given they'd score from 1yd out at the end, even though they still had momentum and had been unstoppable from there all night.

Again, they just needed 1yd to win the game. I'm not sure how you can refute there was a more important play, when that literally decides the match.

Because they knew they were going to try the Cam run AGAIN after seeing it the 1st time and they were ready for it. Even I saw that one coming. So they were more prepared for it this time around and were able to stop it.

Not the outcome I wanted but Patriots showed that theyre going to the superbowl this season.
Cam looked great
Byrd and Cam had good chemistry from their Panthers days.
Edelman still got it.
Harry looked great.
Patriots defense gets better as season progresses, especially with no offseason late October/November their D will be dangerous.
We back!

Week 7 is the first meeting between Pitsburgh and Baltimore. That is going to be a great matchup for the season I reckon.
