Best album for 2021 so far... Wolf Alice - Blue Weekend
Finger cross for SZA or Kendrick Lamar...
Lotsa disappointment this year... ehem* Lorde

That's pretty fucking awesome. I felt 2020 was a great year for music, I'm not too familiar with what's gone on with 2021 so far. Thanks for this song though.

Love the above genres mentioned in this thread. I love watching this type of music with different types of videos on youtube.

Wait there is countrywave! Thanks for sharing a new genre with me.

Thanks for sharing. I love discovering new music genres. Especially when it combines with my favorite subject back in high school which was history.

I actually been listening to a lot of new wave and synth-pop recently and I gotta give a shout out to Duran Duran for this masterpiece.
This song is already amazing with John Taylor's sick Bass playing skills but when that saxophone kicks in around the 3:50 mark it becomes godly.
Chyrches is one of those addictive as hell bands, hailing from Scotland. I've been a big fan of theirs ever since their second album, Every Open Eye, which is when most fans caught on with the band. This is my favourite song from them:
Before she fucked around with (and dumped) Elon Musk Grimes was a Canadian indie synth/dreampop/shoegaze artist (this is part of a much longer "The Wall" type music film, they filmed the whole thing with iPhones) signed to the UK based label 4AD (my favourite label). The other person in the video is American indie dream pop singer Hana.
Ladytron featuring Helen Marnie (Another Glasgow girl like Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches... who is originally from Stirling, but close enough!) is a UK based band who has a TON of great synth music. My favourite song is Versus, but this is the first song from them that caught my ear (Yeah-yeah, I listen to a lot of girly music, I prefer a woman's voice).
Do I need to introduce Depeche Mode?
