I haven't seem you mention you played the game before this, your comments where from spoilers and YT.

Do I need to, since I can know the story from other means?

Or should I play the 30 hours and then "yeah, strange, the story is exacty how it is on youtube videos, I expected it to be different".

I wont play it, but I like to be informed on it as I believe we are seeing first hand part of videogame history being written, this game is very very relevant and will be discussed for years.

Since you are commenting on a thread that OP is very specific to talk about the game (without any spoilers) and only from first hand experience, which means you need to play, yes you would have to play to really comment on how the gameplay feels instead of look.

Because several games when you see someone play is totally different than you playing, mainly the tension and achievement. Even more when you see someone that dominates the gameplay and make it seem very easy. Go watch GoW last Valkyrie on Give me God of War without a hit, you'll think the game isn't that hard, but now go and play and tell me it is the same.

You have already said your displease on the game story on several threads so I have no Idea why you entered this one as well that is to be story free and say the same thing.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Yep, I guess you are right, my apologies and I will go to other threads

The story discussion one is the one that have generated less post probably because most are still playing and not many know how to use spoiler tag. But on the last couple days it have had a small increase in posts. At least three over there are talking from what they saw on leak or YT. And there is also the one that is about the politics on ND, that one have been a little more heated.

@enrico
By all means you can dislike something, but yaknow sometimes you just have to experience something. See the facial expressions, etc.

It's like the difference between texting and talking to someone in person. Some people have this magnetism/command charm that can only be experienced in person. Getting the text version and deciding your opinion, or even from a friend's opinion just seems, I dunno, naive.

You also can't comment on how it looks or sounds, Youtubes compression is ass and esspecially for this game with the film grain effect over it and the 3d audio. You need to see it on pro, in 1440p (or whatever) and in person preferably with headphones. It's a big difference than a Youtube video and trust me I've compared in exhausting detail with this and many other Pro enhanced games. Ya just gotta see it in person and put the icing on the cake with HDR which is like adding a remastered look ontop over the SDR version.

16h in and I have to say that now is basically the first time I left to main menu and entered again the loading is faster than I expected, internal loadings totally hidden and retries are very fast as well. Well done.

Watching this game is nothing compared to playing it. Whoever is only watch can criticise the story for sure, but can't really give a true game rating.

Watching someone getting to a room full of beasts and kill them all is totally different than doing it yourself and getting the heart pumped by the monsters noise, the way you move round, the way you try to stay hiding and study the enemy. It's an entirely different experience, particularly for a survival game like this.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

If you are watching a video game, instead of playing you're going it wrong. 0/10 for effort, unless I missed the sarcasm :P

It was aimed at the Metacritic user reviews. Not anyone here.
