This guy thinks the listings for 500 GB and 2 TB PS5 and XSX models are fake:

I tend to agree with that. PS5 is using an expensive custom SSD, and they went with an odd size of 825 GB specifically to cut costs. I can't see them having a 2TB model, especially one that costs that much (that is equivalent to over $750 USD). They will wait to release a larger model until they can get the costs on the SSD down I think.

dunno going with apple pricing for GBs i see a 825GB SSD be priced for 150 pounds less

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

These console listings are very strange and the 500 and 1TB can already be debunked, at most we will also have something of double the 825 capacity.

Rumors of HZD2 with a 2021 release date and FF16 moneyhatted like FF7. Also GT7 with no release date. You can guess some of the games by the publisher. For example I’m guessing the Konami placeholder is Silent Hill. Rockstar, maybe GTAVI? The Agent returns? 2k sports titles, surely NBA and maybe WWE.

Last I checked, I think 2 years ago, they were still keeping agent "alive", but it is funny that for all the speculation that Agent was the payback R* gave Sony for GTA going multiplat it is like 10 years and nothing show for it, it is even more bizarre situation than Versus XIII.

It's safe to say it's not Agent. Rockstar has just over 2000 employees, and they claim that 1600 of them worked on RDR2, which released in 2018, with the other 400 or so likely working on GTA Online content during that time. They simply won't have had time to make Agent. Also highly unlikely to be GTA 6, as most leaks from Rockstar insiders say we won't see it release until at least 2023. The rumored remake of RDR1 on the RDR2 engine seems far more likely, as it would be much easier to do than a brand new game, since half the RDR1 map is already in RDR2, as well as many of the characters, whose models they can reuse with a few alterations, all of the gameplay systems are ready, etc.

200 employees would be able to make Agent in 10 years =p even more because we don't even know what the game is.

-snip-

Rockstar: My money is on this being the rumored RDR1 remake in the RDR2 engine. Too early for a GTA 6 announce, as most sources suggest it won't release un til 2023 or later. Bully 2 would be great to see, but I'm not getting my hopes up for it, as Rockstar had like 1600 of their 2000+ devs working on RDR2 until late 2018, with the rest most likely doing GTA Online content, doesn't leave enough devs for a AAA Bully 2 to have been in development for more than 18 or so months.

I can't remember where but I think I saw a rumour of GaF/ResetEra that RDR1 might be coming to PC. Would be cool if was true

Bethesda: This could be 1 of 4 games I would say. Starfield, Ghostwire Tokyo, and Deathloop all got teaser reveals at previous E3's, but preorders were not opened for any of them, so it could be one of those 3. The other possibility would be a new Wolfenstein, as this Holiday will make 3 years since MachineGames released Wolfenstein 2. Wolfenstein Youngblood was done by Arkane, not by Machine.

Would be great if we saw Starfield but I think its probably early in development.

Konami: This listing could mean the rumors of a new Silent Hill are true. Not much else it would be likely to be I think.

Has to be Silent Hill. Too many rumors and teases for it not to be true.

Except there is no indication that it was in development for the last 10 years. In 2013 Sony's Shuhei Yoshida said he had no knowledge of rather or not the game was still in development. In 2015 some artwork from the game leaked, with the former Rockstar art team dev who leaked it saying that his art team was taken off of Agent to work on GTA V in 2010. Take-Two kept renewing the Agent trademark for awhile, but then in 2018 they chose not to renew it, indicating that the project was finally dead.

Bully 2 seems more likely than Agent, since there was talk of it entering development at Rockstar Toronto in 2013, and we've head several Bully 2 leaks since then, though it is rumored that Rockstar Toronto was taken back off of Bully 2 to work on RDR2 at some point around 2014 or 2015 as I recall. So I definitely think it is the recently rumored RDR1 remake on the RDR2 engine, as it would be the easiest thing for them to do, workload wise, while selling very well (original RDR sold over 15m, while RDR2 sold over 31m, meaning than an RDR1 remake would almost certainly sell over 20m).

I don't think Agent is in development. I just said that 200 people could make the game in 10 years. And Shuhei not knowing if the game was or wasn't doesn't mean anything, if he said he know the game isn't that would be a different thing.

Very interesting. That will likely have some performance implications as well.

It's not just a simple case of Sony doubling the NAND chip capacities and using the same I/O layout.

Pinch of salt and all that until verified of course...

--::{PC Gaming Master Race}::--

Its a placeholder price. In any case £600 would be pretty reasonable for 2tb model, considering the quantity and speed of the SSD. Its pretty much cutting edge right now.

I have my doubts that they will launch with 2 SKU's and they'll just have one with 825gb base. In any case if Sony does launch with a 2TB SKU I will opt for that.
