why not super paper mario, wario ware, elebits, devy's adventure or rayman raving rabbids? should be great for 10 year old kid.

Warioware would be a good way to warp her mind

My daughter's favorite games are SSBB (which work fine with the wiimote/nunchuk, never tried wiimote alone), GH3, Mercury Meltdown, SMG, DDR:HP, RRR (but she struggles on a lot of the mini-games) and she's currently blowing the bloody hell out of House of the Dead 2&3 zombies - at least when she's looking at the screen, sometimes she looks away and shoots blind (ew, ick, ick)- so funny to watch
Don't know if that helps, but might give you some ideas.

Do NOT get Dewy unless you want to help her get through all the levels. The design is very childish, but the gameplay becomes quite challenging. SMG would be a much better option or SPM is a good idea.

Didn't she get a few years older since SMS, so she probably got a little better at gaming in the meantime? Also you should give a present with her interest at heart, not your own. Also having to play SMG can never be considered a bad thing, although some levels might get a bit frustrating. But since you can also just skip most of these levels and still finish the game you really should be ok. |
I'm going to be stuck playing this game a lot. I'm looking for something in her best interest, but mostly I'm looking for a game that won't completely suck. I want something her, her stepdad, and myself can play for a long time to come. Her mom won't be buying her many games and if I'm going to cough up $50 for a game, I want it to count.

I'm not going to buy her new controllers to play the game. And if Brawl doesn't play well with the Wiimote, what other games would you recommend? BTW, first person who recommends Galaxy for a 10 year old girl gets a ban for stupidity. |
My girlfriend actually perfers it to the gamecube controller... and yes she used to play the gamecube version with me... though not extensivly.
My guess is it works just as well for anyone who hasn't played the previous brawls.
Nice at all the various stereotyping of Rocketpigs neice too...
Rocket's going to know her better then you, it's possible for girls, even little kid girls to perfer a "real" game.

What about Super Paper Mario? It's not really all that hard, the only downside is all the text.

She's a pretty violent little girl. Kicking the living shit out of someone else is right up her alley, which is why I immediately thought of Brawl. She's not the type who wants crap like Hannah Montana. It would bore her.

Why do people automatically assume that girls would have such poor taste in video games...

I'm more concerned that someone hates Rocketpig so much that they would want him to suffer through having to watch his niece play this game, or hear about it.
