Wait... Wouldn't Galaxy be a better choice for a 10 year old girl than Brawl?

Is this her first gaming machine? What kind of games does she like?

She had a GC before this. I'm not buying her Galaxy because I don't feel like beating every difficult part of the game for her like I did Sunshine. Mario games are pretty brutal on kids.

@rol: I would love to wait for MK but her party is tomorrow. Another game I was considering was RRR2. I would prefer Brawl, though. She plays a lot with her stepdad and based on the previous Brawl games, it seems friendly enough for casuals to get into while still retaining enough depth to keep someone like me interested for more than five minutes.

Didn't she get a few years older since SMS, so she probably got a little better at gaming in the meantime? Also you should give a present with her interest at heart, not your own. Also having to play SMG can never be considered a bad thing, although some levels might get a bit frustrating. But since you can also just skip most of these levels and still finish the game you really should be ok.

I'm going to be stuck playing this game a lot. I'm looking for something in her best interest, but mostly I'm looking for a game that won't completely suck. I want something her, her stepdad, and myself can play for a long time to come. Her mom won't be buying her many games and if I'm going to cough up $50 for a game, I want it to count.
