I like a good female butt. Nothing wrong with that ad. Compare that to naked old man flabby ass from the SEGA ads I posted earlier.

The Mario Sunshine US TV ad.

I know maybe they were trying to be cute/ironic, but it just came off as an extremely stupid commercial (as in a "joke's on you, I'm just pretending to be a moron" type of thing).

What? WTF is that? Why is he smirking? Passion? Like "The Passion of the Christ" movie? Why? When I was a Christian I would have thought this was borderline sacrilege. As an Atheist, it just makes me facepalm.

I have no idea what the hell they were saying.

Would this count as dumb?

Yep, pretty sure it's directly referencing Passion of the Christ, and yeah Christians were unsurprisingly rather unimpressed by it. Very badly thought through ad.

This game was released in 1995 for almost every platform in existence at the time. I saw more commercials for Zoop on TV than I did for any other game released at the time.

Never heard of that game... must have been a local thing.

This is the one that always stands out to me. Sony actually hired a company to make this terrible attempt of a viral marketing campaign. Just awful, but very hilarious to revisit.
