I'm very excited for the variety coming out of XGS and very much looking forward to Xbox becoming a major WRPG powerhouse again.

Me too :D

edit: Aha, didn't know that was a thing or that those companies were part of it.

The only games I'd consider playing of those are from Obsidian. So the correct answer is Obsidian.

Truth!

Seeing inXile up there, and thinking about how "Torment: Tides of Numenera" was a letdown from the greatness that Torment planescape was.... ontop of how poorly made and buggy Wasteland 2 was (totally overrated metacritic score), I was like "okay I can live without inXile games".

For me, Torment: Tides of Numenera was a really great game. Not as great as the first Torment, but still inXile exceeded my expectations. The world was created really in a unique way, and the story was also the highest league.

That is why I have high expectations for them. Let's see how they will deal with Wasteland 3.

For the poll i voted for Rare.

I actually think inXile "could" be great.
The issue was just funding..... crowd funding isnt always the best option for makeing great games.

MS buying them should mean their quality goes up.
So yes hopefully Wasteland 3 is better made than the 2nd game was.

Torment Tides of Numenera wasnt a bad game, just not as hype as I was expecting.
Wasteland 2 was a bad game, and a buggy mess ontop of that. Thats one of those play a few hours, and then go "yep im done, no more of this".

Nice, really can’t wait to see how these formerly multiplat studios do when making games for Xbox.

Voted 343, Halo Infinite is looking like a big leap from Halo 5 if rumours are to be believed. 5 years and a brand new engine, day 1 buy.

Compulsion.... get your act together lol

I think they have some cool ideas and an eye for art-style. They just need to up their game a couple of levels and we might see some interesting game pass titles.

Let's try to predict what games MS studios relase in the near future (by the end of 2021):

- 343 Industries (Halo Infinite)
- Compulsion Games (new IP - but we can wait longer for their game)
- Double Fine (Psychonauts 2 - SeX will get an upgraded version)
- inXile (Wasteland 3 - as above)
- Mojang (Minecraft with ray tracing and maybe some smaller new IP)
- Ninja Theory (Hellblade 2, Project Mara - may move to 2022)
- Obsidian (Grounded)
- Playground Games (maybe Forza Horizon 5 at the end of 2021)
- Rare (Everwild, Battletoads)
- Turn 10 (Forza Motorsport 8)
- Undead Labs (State of Decay 3 - may move to 2022 or even 2023)
- World's Edge (Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition, Age of Empires IV)
- Xbox Game Studios Publishing (Flight Simulator, Tell Me Why and maybe something else).

So I'm not counting on many new announcements for 2021. The most important games will be Halo, Everwild, Hellblade 2 and Forza games.

What do you think about it? Something you would add or delete?

This looks about right. Lot to look forward to in the near future.
