You need to quantify this with an example or something. But i truly do not see how.

You haven't ever seem something as ghostbuster with shoehorned agenda make the product worse?

Well, a lot of people could say that was only the story they wanted to tell, nothing political on it.

Of course this is not my opinion, but in theory, it is a valid argument.

Sure it is (as in ghostbusters) I`m not saying they were forced to do it, considering their social media activity (from a lot of the ND employees) they follow this agenda. The point is on forcing a story to be full of that political content even when not relevant can impact the product, a thing we will only know when it releases. As I said even with all this TLOU, UC4 and Lost Legacy were great games and the political agenda didn`t impact my enjoyment even if I can see the differences from previous games so I`m just cautious of the TLOU2 (because I won`t read the spoilers to confirm if I would be pissed), I have my preorder and so far am keeping it, but if reviews are very negative and comes out in time to cancel the preorder I may do it (I`m keeping because I got a very good price, like 20% discount and free shipping).

A postmodern, relativist and militant worldview that is being imposed to people who only want to consume entertainment without any brainwashing attempt.

Or, it is a team that simply wants to tell the story they want to tell and people are seeing what they want to see.

The issue is that, the entertainment industry as a whole decided to tell the same story. Suddenly, the postmodern narrative is the only one possible.

I am not saying ND won't make a good game again, even with these issues. I just oppose the politization of entertainment.

It is diverse to make everything following the same direction.

I don't see the "issues" from Naughty Dog. Instead, I'm going to buy their product and experience their craft, from their vision. My personal life/stake in how they choose to send of their message is irrelevant.

And politics have been part of entertainment since its inception.

The thing is Anita Sarkeesian's vision is not appealing to most gamers.

I wish Neil never asked her for help.

Even worse is that she doesn`t even like gaming.

Consumer's stance on politics and society will definitely not impact the "message" developers deliver, but people will cause impact voting with their wallets. Entertainment producers have the right to tell stories the way they want, but they just can't blame consumers for not swalling their views. Actions have consequences.

Do you really believe that the polization of entertainment was so prevalent as it is nowadays in any other era?

The Last of Us is too big for the quality of the game or it's messages to keep it's minimum sales below exceptional. The only question is whether those sales will be deserved or not.

Also, I don't speak for everyone, but my issue with the recent influx of political messages in entertainment generally isn't the message itself, unless it's something blatantly false like women being oppressed in the western 1st world anymore then men are. My problem is when it doesn't fit into the context of the story and is hamfisted into an already established and popular series as this seems to always mean the quality suffers hard for it.

You want to put messages in the entertainment you're making? By all means go for it but make it original and make sure entertainment is still the priority. Stop hijacking big prexisting franchises and only using them as a platform for your message.

EDIT: Not saying for sure this is the case with TLoU2 just yet, will wait til the game is actually out.

I also think TLOU2 will be a huge success hit, will easily sell 10 million copies. It doesn't matter what they do, it will be huge. Its like The Rise of Skywalker, it doesnt matter how bad it was, it was definitely be a big hit with.

I also agree with what you say about hijacking franchises. This happen because if they try to build something to fit their agenda since the beginning, there is a chance it won't really succeed, so it's easier to do it with something already established.

For example if the next uncharted game has Drake's daughter as protagonist, Drake left Elaine as he found himself to be homossexual and now is trying to fight for the socialist revolution in africa, and the plot revolves around joining forces with an antifa group to overthrown the conservative president which is allied with the local church, it would still sell gazillions as this is uncharted and has all those characters we love.

But if you try to start something with such amount of messages people would probably not buy the game. Therefore, you need to rely on changing what is existing. And it sucks.

Anyone find it odd both games are really close together? Like if both are AAA you’d want them to have their own breathing room.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

It might look odd from an Xbox gamer's point of view to have two AAA exclusives release in the same year at all.
