When RE2 remake launched on PS4 it had 265k copies its first week. Both FF7R and FFXV sold ~700k copies their first week. or about 2.65 times the amount of RE2 remake's initial week.

When RE4 remake launched it had 90k copies on PS5 and 85k copies on PS4 its first week. That means the absolute bare minimum for FFXVI to sell is 90k * 2.65 or about 240k copies. That is the smallest opening that could be conceived by any kind of logical deduction.

Your numbers, quite simply, are not rooted in any sort of logic.

I simply can not imagine FF16 selling anywhere near these numbers.

With these numbers it basically will outsell every other single PS5 game in Japan at release.

Hogwarts is now at ~172k retail, RE4 at ~128k, GT7 is at roughly 300k (but as far as I have heard it got quite some bundling).

I am not sure, what the highest PS5 opening lifetime in japan is, but I think it was something like 140k-150k or so.

I guess my guess really was quite a bit too low. Something like 200-250k is achieveable.

We will see in roughly a month. :)

That would make for an exceptionally high point to sales ratio. I don't think I've seen a high demand PS5 (or any platforms, really) title have a 1:3.33 ratio.
