That is a way of looking at it. But believe it or not I didn`t had any issues with PC or anything similar in this movie.

I yet to see it. But people keep saying that they got out of their way to make sure every man in this movie is either evil, useless, week or a combination of the 3.

Yes there is some mention of favoritism and machism, but I wouldn`t say they have gone out of their way.

Yes, almost all relevant production positions were held by women, all relevant characters are female. But really even the women there are weak, useless, moron, etc, thus another "no redeeming point".

I have no idea why some are saying the story being pointless is something positive.

I'll probably watch this movie later on the seven seas. I don't like to be to critical without seeing it myself. But I'm going in very pessimistic.

At bold. That's because they dint get deadpool and are trying to outridiculous it and tossed the story and just be more wacky. Thinking that's why people loved it.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Being silly, ridiculous or wacky are characteristics, but not really something to be considered positive, it can at most be adequate (like if the character is pointless or chaotic).

Margot Robbie is sexy enough to withstand the film, just put in noise cancelling headphones and loom away when Margot is not on screen.

Exactly.

Margot Robbie went full Jim Carrey, never go full Jim Carrey.

Movies such as this one are instruments and excuses to preach. Just like religious films, these kind of movies have a very limited amount of success/are put out to flop. They are heavy-handed and continuously trying to tell you what and how to think, subtlety and interpretation are their enemies.

Some of these films tend to have some success, but just like religious films, most go to the whatever"direct-to-video" equivalent is in these present times.

There is nothing to fix. It was a light hearted hard R comic book film similar to Deadpool. How anyone can think it was Suicide Squad tier is beyond me.

Haven't seen it myself, because DC and PC are not my thing, but I saw a Youtube video that explained rather well how this tried to be Deadpool, but completely missed the mark.

As for redemption, I hear that some of the fight scenes were reshot with the choreographer from John Wick to make them better, so should be some good stuff mixed in there somewhere.

Just finished the movie and for me it was a boring shit show with no story, reason or anything. Outside of the back and forth timeline for no good reason.

The fights are poorly done, the effects have glaring defects.

Can you give a redeeming point for the movie except Harley and Black Canary are beautiful actress?

I didn't like the film but it had a story (just not a very interesting one) and the fights are generally really good, the action scenes are the main positive I have for the film. It helps that some of the people behind john wick did the action scenes. I'd go as far to say that the action is some of the best I've seen in a super hero film.

I kinda feel like a fool to some degree. I'm in a Facebook group that discusses all things nerd but we're definitely not politically correct. I'm also a DC Fanboy and after a handful of their recent films doing well critically, commercially, or both, I thought DC was on track to do well from here on out.

Even after seeing the trailers and being underwhelmed, I still held out hope. I thought "Wait for the reviews.." and when the reviews came out, I was happy. I thought, even if it doesn't dominate the box office, the movie will still be good.

Then, they started attacking.
"Cassandra Cain looks like this in the movie but she looks like THIS in comics."
"Victor Zsasz looks like this!? What the hell?"

Meanwhile, I was digging out pics of different artists showing that the representation on screen actually matched examples on print. But In the end, almost all of the characters were the comic characters in name only. Luckily no one went back and called me out on it.
