he is right that the colors on the GC side are more bright

WTF are you talking about, did you even watch the video. Everything i said is very noticeable in the video. And i have never bashed the wii's graphics in any thread. As i said my opinion was based on that video alone, the part i said afterwards clearly shows that i do not feel this video shows off the power of the game, and that a different video would show the difference of the two games. |
Then why do you say something like this if we (the actual people that have the game) repeatedly say the game looks way better (the wii stages that is), looks much sharper, colorful, and has smoother gameplay than its predecessor. Why can't you simply believe us, instead of a 640x480 gameplay movie by a crappy site.

I do believe you guys when you say the game looks better then the videos they show, i don't think i have ever said anything that would not agree with that. My first post clearly shows that i was talking about this video, and not the game as a whole.
I go off at Gametrailers and their videos all the time on their site. Their videos are shit and show nothing of how the game looks, this happens in all their PS3 video comparisons with 360 games, when they show the PS3 game all washed out and screw with the video to make it look like a PS2 game.

I'm sure you are true about the better grafix on the Wii but in these video they compare ported double dash circuits on the Wii with the originals so sure those new tracks look much better but these old tracks sure don't.. |
They aren't supposed to! that's the whole point lol. There is supposed to be a noticable difference between the versions..
Well I've decided to pre order the Mario Kart WII (US) version after all. A risk on both liking it and having a bug in the game... but heck if you don't try it you never know. I've never had Mario Double Dash and if this game had regular controls only instead of the wheel I most likely wouldn't have bought it.

Sure. They're ment to be 'retro'.
Besides leo-j with his stupid thread, no one is claiming the should look like the new tracks.

Yea that's true..
Until someone shows a video of Moonview Highway I'm not taking any comparissons serious.
Just play that level and compare it to the GC Highway level and you won't ever have the feeling that the two games are about the same graphically.
Other than that, MKWii looks sharper and has pretty shaders and lighting, it's 480p, 16:9 and 60fps (also 12p online). I know some games than don't even come close to that. Imo a stable framerate is the most important part in enjoying visuals.

That bug doesn't exist. I'm 100 percent sure at this point.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
