The guys running the site must be drunk.... either they made as mistake, added too many, or they temp. removed some, while figureing out where that mistake was or such, before again adding numbers back.

That said its not comforting seeing numbers jump up and down lol.

They have been hacked before.  Last week I saw Vatican City with 800,000 new cases or something like that.  The total population of that city-state is like 1,000.

It might have to do with their changes in reporting for the USA. They split it out by state and are probably re-aligning the daily reporting. The site itself rolls over at UK time, yet the US can report their daily totals 4 to 7 hours after midnight GMT/UTC.

Things are happening so fast :/

you got to remember different times zones in USA for example NY and California are 3 hours apart.

Germany just announced new rules. While there is no ban on going out, gathering of more than 2 (!) people are forbidden. Hopefully that helps and police will have a look on this. This afternoon I saw a group of 5 elderly people playing games at the town place.

Not quite. There's no limit if they are living in the same household.

Which is unlikely for 5 elderly people but not impossible.

The numbers will continue to go up as more people are tested. I'm not that alarmed by it yet. Most important number is how many people are dying from it.

Driving is still more lethal, on average 3287 traffic deaths per day. Corona is now up to 1600 deaths a day.
In the USA it's about 100 per day, today 112 died in the USA.

However the daily death toll can still keep climbing for 3 weeks after getting the growth factor below 1. But we could also find a successful treatment. If things keep going as they were the last week, we'll be past the daily traffic death rate before the end of next week.

Local wallgreens closed because some employees had the virus.

Yep and we can all die due to lack of food and supplies.

Imagine all the traffic deaths the current measures are preventing ;)

Supply chain is in the essential job group, traffic of vital goods is not effected much. The only lack we're seeing is from people hoarding food and supplies. I haven't heard of any farms having to shut down for covid19. The main problem there is migrant workers not being able to get in to harvest our food... Now with the unemployment rate up so high, that can sort itself out...

Driving is more lethal than corona because more people are driving than have Corona. As a potential threat, Corona can be much more dangerous (henc the efforts to prevent its spread). In Lombardy, more people died from Corona yesterday than they have traffic fatalities in a year.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

I know, the chance of getting covid19 is about certain if left unchecked. The chance of getting in a car accident is about once every 18 years (According to insurance statistics) 6 million car accidents a year, with a fatality rate of about 0.6% (when getting in a car accident)

So yep, in every aspect, Corona is worse and will take over world wide daily car fatalities in a week. 36K people die in car accidents in the US each year, Covid19 can potentially kill millions in the US alone.

It's also the time frame. If all car accidents for the year happen on the same day, many more would die.
