Switch will increase by around 7% to 21.5m

We could combine he sales based on company so Ms and Sony aren't hurt by having multiple gens. Switch compared to PS4/5 and Xbox one/series X seems fair.
Subscribed. This is always an interesting thread to follow and read through.
Your hard work is appreciated.
PS4 should have some weeks in 2020 below 150K, XBO below 30K and Switch should stay above 200K, especially with new hardware (Switch Pro) and constant first party software supply.
derpysquirtle64 said: Great. One of the best VGC threads 2020 Edition. Unfortunately the only interesting thing about this year would be how much higher can Switch sales jump? Or will they at all? I personally bet on Switch selling more this year than the last. 23m maybe. As for next-gen Sony and MS consoles, I don't think it would make sense to include them in this thread until 2022. When they will have a full year on the market to compare with. |
Yeah, Switch winning by far is a given for this year. The questions are more like by how much and how far down the other two will drop down to.
Comparing the Switch 2020 to the best years of PS4 and/or Wii might get very interesting, though.

Momentum is good, and we have a full switch lite year.
But until now we only have 1 system seller (AC).
for now, with no announcement, my range is [17 - 23]M.
Need annoucements to narrow my guess.
Just made adjustments, Switch was adjusted up. PS4 was adjusted down. Xbox One was adjusted very slightly down; 82 units. Basically flat.

Switch has already beaten ps4’s best year in 2019. So, it’s how far higher can it go at this point.
You are correct.
I decided to forego that column this year since I usually edit the thread title with the week number every time the new numbers are posted. Which I’m going to do once I get home from work and have access to my laptop.
