Just started Flight Simulator -> 18GB update....

Lmao.

Will you download all the World Updates too? I want to know the total size including them before I download it, I'm almost out of storage space and I really don't want to buy another external hard drive or mess around with deleting certain things yet.

It still says 'thank you for being excited blah blah for me'  Then had to update it again (27 Gb) btw isn't the total world size 11.300 TB?

It's about 2.5 TB on Azure.
It was 133 GB PC install before SU5 (premium deluxe version with world updates installed)
Now downloading a 37GB update (with long please wait pauses in between, 32/236 4/37 GB so far)

See you in the sky!

How much stuff could you possibly need installed? All you've played all year is like MCC, Minecraft, and ESO lol

MCC alone is 138GB

ESO is 88GB.

Suppose I could delete Valhalla and Cyberpunk, I have Sea of Thieves installed because I will get around to PotC one day, I also have a few Yakuza's installed.

I've still got 246GB left, Idk how much of a chunk Flight Sim will take out of that with the World Updates, I think with my poor internet I might have to download the near 100Gb offline mode too, Lol.

Probably won't be playing it much either, I'll pop on from time to time, visit somewhere nice, move onto another game, Lol.

I'll likely have to just buy that SSD card but it's only 1Tb...I don't really want to start having to consider deleting stuff, I like having all my stuff installed and ready just in case.

But how much of MCC do you really need installed at this point? You could probably wipe a good chunk of that.

Finally got it running after a long setup and loading period.

The world updates are 31GB.

Base game is 42GB, so you only need 73GB unless you also download the 60GB offline mode.

That Forza gameplay looks so good. Can’t wait to play it.

I'd probably just fly over the Pacific and see what islands I can find.

I'm testing out Flight Sim on my Series S. There are issues with buildings loading in as I get close to them. I guess I should download the "offline" assets.

According to WindowsCentral.

SpecificationMinimumRecommendedIdeal
Internet requirement5 Mbps20 Mbps

50 Mbps

https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-xbox-offline-mode-pack

My internet is usually around 20 Mbps...

Idk what your internet speed is but the servers are likely being slammed right now as well which would probably contribute to it.

Definitely. The world updates currently download at 10 Mbit/s, which is only 10% of my available speed.

The servers are melting, a lot of people are reporting that online data and multiplayer aren't working. The servers seem to be down in the NY area. I'm still stuck updating the PC version, so slow. I downloads at up to 90 mbps, then pauses for a long time between files, just saying please wait ...

Not bad for the Xbox Series S. And people are worried it is going to hold back this generation of consoles.

Looks pretty good, except for the draw distance. This was on a GTX 1060 before SU5, with terrain detail (draw distance) at 100 (half of max)
