Those new box arts gives me 360 vibes. Love it

The Guardians of the Galaxy Game actually looks good, it gives me some Mass Effect vibes in terms of combat when giving orders to squad mates. I’m actually tempted to pre order.

What about everyone's biggest disappointment of the show?

For me it has to be Redfall. I came in expecting Victorian Vampire Dishonored since Arkane is known for immersive sims and since Dishonored creative director Harvey Smith is leading the dev team, instead we got a modern day shooter where you don't play as the Vampires yourself, and it's co-op focused at that, during a time when Xbox drastically needs more singleplayer games. Sure it has a solo play option, but these co-op focused games don't usually play well solo unless they have an AI controlled teammate option, due to poor difficultly scaling and a lack of necessary teammate powers. I will still play it, but a disappointment for sure.

2nd biggest disappointment was the lack of a console port or cloud version for AoE 4. I really want to play it but my PC likely isn't up to the task of playing it on even low settings, unless I'm overestimating the system requirements. MS badly needs to put a few PC's into their xCloud data centers for PC Gamepass exclusives likes AoE 4.

Lack of Japanese games. Was a few nice surprises those 2022/23 games day one and Yakuza now all on Game pass, but damn.. nothing else. :/
But hey we get that trash FF game at least. Still no persona, not convinced it's ever coming either. Oh well.

So, what was everyone's biggest surprise of the show? For me it was Atomic Heart. Never heard of it before today, but it looks right up my alley, love games that are batshit crazy. And that Russian Techno song in the trailer was so catchy.

That's hard to answer objectively knowing the leaks and following gaming news. Heard about project typhoon, that vampire game, horizon 5, SoT, Like a Dragon yesterday, TOW 2, that left 4 dead game day one GP.

New Boxarts

Better but Idk about the white background.

this would look so clean if they did the console text in white against the background like the other info also it seems weird to not mention the series S at all lol They could easily style it as Series X|S. Rn it looks kinda fanmade

Then why did the AoE4 trailer say Xbox Cloud Gaming at the end?

You nailed it for me, I was expecting/hoped for a single player experience in a different setting... I'll probably still try it out with friends but damn I was excited to see a Unique Vampire game done right.

MS continues to have a kinda mixed message, PC gamers continue to enjoy free online and even have exclusives. it's a bit odd.

But if I'm picking a 2nd one, as I don't care about AoE at all, it's the lack of Japanese games, specifically Persona.

RedFall is a massive disappointment to me, it doesn’t look like an Arkane game at all. I love Harvey Smith but damn was that trailer just meh.

Biggest game of the show for me, I posted about this game a couple of times in this thread in the past. It has been out there for a while and was rumored to be in dev Hell and they were also looking for a publisher (rumored that EA rejected it).

When I saw it on Brushies list of games I was praying that it would show up at the MS E3 show, the fact that it did and also that it’s Gamepass day one was huge for me. Mundfish is a studio that MS need to keep an eye on same for GSC Gameworld, I’m really glad that MS were able to get a partnership with both and I hope that it continues.

Both devs are very talented.

"New solar system, new crew, same Outer Worlds. The Outer Worlds 2 is coming...and when that day is closer we will show you more...but until then enjoy this."

I'm liking that The Outer Worlds 2 is in a new solar system, I'll miss some of that crew though, I kinda want something like Firefly feeling, one set crew, band of nobodies, flying across solar systems getting up to shit and getting in trouble, make the ship feel like your home and the crew your family, I sorta hope that they don't change crews every entry.

Same. I was hoping they'd be some continuation but I guess not. Maybe it will follow the Hope's sister ship that got lost?
