I think it's great that developers have a moment to talk about their games they've been working very hard on. This moment is huge for a lot of them. They are trying something new, and this format will give more awareness to these games.

Calling these games trash? Grow up.

That is why I liked the summer 2020 format. Developers got to talk about their games, but they didn't go overboard with it, they got about a minute each to talk about their game while footage of said game played. Gamers are well known for not having the best of attention spans, very few of them want to listen to long interview segments. I can already tell you right now that if Xbox posts the full 4 hour archive of this stream on their youtube it is going to have a much worse like/dislike ratio than the Summer 2020 ID@Xbox showcase videos did, specifically because of how long and drawn out the interviews are.

Doing these long form interviews is fine, but the main showcase is not the place for long interviews, such things should be relegated to an after show.

They are 100% going to break this showcase down into smaller videos that will highlight everything from each game. They are already currently uploading every trailer onto Youtube as we speak. I doubt most people watching this video will watch this entire thing. I'm not because I don't have the time, but I'm going to watch the highlighted videos/trailers of games I missed when they upload them later.

The point of this whole thing to to bring awareness to these indie games. You can watch the Twitch stream, watch the trailers on Youtube, read the Xbox Wire that will be posted, or watch the highlighted video of the entire showcase that will be posted later. Literally different options for everyone.

I said "some", maybe learn to read. If you think everything being shown is great then fantastic, I'm happy for you. But not everything that's been shown so far really does anything better than the store filler you see week after week.

I know what you said. Just because you don't like a certain game, doesn't mean it's trash. So many people throw that word around because something doesn't interest them, just say it's not for you. Not every game I've seen is for me, but it's certainly doesn't mean it's bad.

Yeah, I have a huge problem with that type of mindset myself.  I understand that Gamers are pretty polar its either great or garbage but it really does not have to be that way.  I also agree giving these developers some spotlight where they probably would not and highlighting their games shows respect to these developers who decided to go with adding their games to the Xbox ecosystem.  We need more appreciation even if they are smaller game efforts because I have played so far with Gamepass a lot of smaller games that are real gems and I respect the amount of work it take to get a game to market.  Even the smallest game takes a lot of effort to get done and published.

Based on the impressions from this thread I’m glad I didn’t watch the ID@Xbox showcase.

Yeah true, sorry for the tone of my reply. I guess what I meant is "lower quality" type games. I do think a smaller event, 25 games of the more standout games or just a supercut of all 100 would have been better, this format is tiring to follow for me.  I'm positive I've missed a few games that I would 100% get coz I've been turning it off and on.

No problem at all. I've caught myself saying the same thing before when describing something. I come to realize it's such a mean way to word something, and you never know who's reading these comments. No way I'm watching the entire show myself either, but I'll certain watch trailers for these later today.

Tbh I'm fine with the content, some really cool games in here, just the format/pacing I take issue with.

Maybe Twitch is at fault, since it's a Twitch/Xbox collaboration, Twitch wants to advertise its streamers and platform, I think it'd be better with more professional interviewers and cutting out the recap parts, the hosts are fine but cutting back to them to recap everything is tiring.

I haven't caught up on all of it yet, but from the games I've seen they all look at least good to excellent. The pacing is definitely slow, which I can see why some wouldn't enjoy it. I'll catch up on the rest of the games later.

Craftopia was the highlight.

I will never understand people who spend a ton of money on expensive shoes xD I only buy like a single pair of shoes every year and a half-2 years or so, just got a new pair of New Balance trailrunners for $70 a few days ago. New Balance is my go to shoe company because they are comfy and durable, I've yet to have a pair fail to hold up for at least a year and a half of daily use. Also they are made in the US, rather than sweat shops in Southeast Asia.

Foam runners are the least expensive yeezy shoes. They retailed for $80 while most retail for 220.
But if you like the shoe I guess you’re willing to pay the higher price. Especially if you consider shoes a hobby and such.

It’s like TVs. I can get a cheap 4K TV for like $250 that will get the job done but if you’re more of an enthusiastic and want more you’ll pay a lot more.
