I cannot remember when MS has ever had anything meaningful for TGS. Not sure why anyone would waste time waking up early to watch anything from MS. I am sure MS would love to gain a decent footing but when PS and Nintendo pretty much dominate the scene, its not even realistic to expect anything from their TGS.

I mean....you add Xbox + Xbox 360 + Xbox One you don't get 3 million units sold in Japan. I see their presence on TGS just as a PR move, so they can say "we're here, we're listening", and maybe try getting some gamepass/xcloud numbers.

So a 1.5tb Series S ends up more expensive than a 1tb Series X. YIKES

This is a terrible price.

Not really, this is just how expensive SSD's are. It's maybe 20% more expensive than an SSD with comparable speed on PC. 20% mark-up accounts for the proprietary size, MS wanted to make them as small as possible. I think you'll find it even more expensive to upgrade PS5's storage once Sony releases the guidelines for which SSD's are compatible with the expansion slot on PS5 (Sony is only allowing SSD's that are as fast as the internal one, and PS5's internal SSD is twice as fast as Microsoft's).

It's a lot more than 20%. You can get a 1tb SSD with 3500mb/s read, 3000mb/s write for $125 on amazon. Higher than the 2400mb/s raw speed of the xsx.

As for PS5, $165 will get you a 5000mb/s read, 4400mb/s write 1tb SSD compared to the 4500mb/s of the PS5.

I'm sure the tiny size of this seagate card is driving costs up, but why do they have to be so tiny in the first place? I'd much rather have a bigger cheaper card.

So, Xbox Series S and X went up for preorder in Japan and both sold out in a few minutes on Amazon Japan apparently, lol. Wonder what the stock was? Probably pretty poor.

I thought they opened tomorrow after the SEGA TGS show?

Here we go, a real competitor to xCloud.

This is maybe the best looking cloud service yet. $5.99 for some core titles, seperate subscriptions for additional titles (Ubisoft having a seperate subscription for their games).

I tried Stadia and the lag was unnoticeable for me I'm a believer cloud gaming can work, the main issues with stadia is it's pricing and games lineup. This could be a really good service.

Sure that's an introductory price and it will go up, but $5.99/month is insane.

I'm confused, does the games need to be bought separetly A la stadia or are they included in the $5.99 subscription fee?

There will be seperate "channels" you pay subscriptions for, while subscribed you get access to all games on that channel.

The $5.99 channel is called Luna Plus and will give you access to over 100 games at launch.

Ubisoft have been confirmed to have their own channel on the service, no pricing for this yet.

No purchasing of games, subscription only.

How did Amazon get their streaming service on IOS, but Xbox and other platforms couldn't?

Anyways, I see Luna being more popular than Stadia.

Wow Luna+ actually looks good! Good to have competition for xCloud although I'd favor Microsoft's lineup of games.

Wouldn't be shocked if Amazon acquires Ubisoft. Hopefully MS has more in store from their war chest.
