That is big news. Though, for him to have any meaningful impact on Halo Infinite, I don't see it coming out until Fall 2021 now. Let's hope Microsoft has one or two AA/AAA titles for the first half of 2021. The Xbox 360 had Elder Scrolls IV right after launch if I recall and Xbox One had Titanfall.

I'm fine with that. At least it sends the right message, that they're not willing to sit back and keep letting 343 just screw around anymore. There's too much riding on that game to not get it right.

Joseph Staten, finally some good news for leadership at 343. He knows what it takes to ship a Halo game.

“Project lead”, so he’s gonna whip those lazy, unproductive managers who can’t keep track of their employees work loads and get them all in line. Perfect.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Garbage policy which shows exactly why Microsoft needs their own internal support studio.

This is interesting. I completely agree that MS should rely less on mass amounts of contractors, and should instead be looking to establish a consistent workforce. On the other hand, his back to back tweets there don't go together all that well imo. First he says too many game devs use contractors that they string along for many years with the hopes for a permanent work position, and that this is immoral (with which I would agree), and then he follows it up with stating MS sets clear boundaries for how long a contractor can hope to stay, in no uncertain terms, followed by a mandatory break, and spins that into also being bad. It seems to me, sheer scale of how many contractors MS may use aside, that this policy is an improvement to some extent over what he outlined previously.

It's a good and not a bad policy if you care about people and their families. it's just bad for the development of such a game which just shows that MS needs more internal employees for this stuff.

New GwG announced....

The Division (X1)
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (X1)
De Blob 2 (360)
Armed and Dangerous (Xbox)

Tiny bit better than some of the previous months, but I already own both X1 games and De Blob 2 was part of GamePass if I remember correctly. Still pretty poor offering.

Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is good, I already played it. Recommend it to those of you who haven't played it yet.

Bought that one ages ago and honestly I don't know why. Looking at completion times, it's far too long for a point and click adventure to hold my attention so I won't ever beat it which in turn means that I don't have any desire to start it.

Cross platform got me excited but then I realized it was Windows and Steam. Oh well it’s a PC RTS, not Halo Wars lol.

Still waiting for all this "the next consoles and their games will blow you away from the beginning" talking of all these so called insiders of the last year or so. Even the PS5 exclusive Ratchet still shows how the "real" dimensional changes are on rails and only some smaller changes of the environment aren't and that's pretty much the only game which even tries to show something new^^

But it's obviously only the start of next gen and Corona is also a problem.

Skipped over most of the show.

I like Bridge Constructor so I look forward to playing the new one even if the mix with the Walking Dead IP seems even weirder than the Portal one.
Little Nightmares was good in concept but had too many trial and error sections.
....did I mention I skipped most of it?
