I need to step my GamePass game up. There are plenty of games on it that I wanted to own or will own in the future like Wasteland 3.
I played Wasteland 2 on GP out of curiosity and I became an Isometric RPG fan. I’m so glad for this service.

Dunno why Microsoft doesn't just give one of these headsets Series X support and be done with it, they don't have to be the ones creating the VR headset, just allow support for others.

I think it's pretty much inevitable that this will happen. Just a matter of time.

Skipping Bleeding Edge. Not interested in the game at all. And there are lots of good games coming out anyway and not so much free time to play all of them. March/April is packed. I think it will take around 5 months to complete all March/April releases.

As for GamePass, I barely use it. Still prefer the ownership of games and physical media. Currently I'm set on not prolonging the subscription after it expires. If I had way more time than I have, it would have been a great deal. But as I've said, I barely have time to complete the games that I buy on discs and my backlog is already huge enough.

They can support it. No problem. But someone needs to develop games to justify spending resources on supporting these headsets. PC games won't run on Series X. And currently it is not clear if the devs will jump on board to make VR games for the console.

I think it has been mentioned once or twice in here as a possible acquisition in the past but we can scratch Splash Damage off the list now, if Microsoft is still acquiring studios. Though it was always unlikely since some Chinese company own like 20% of Splash Damage.

Splash Damage & Stadia

We're thrilled to finally announce that we're working on an exclusive title in partnership with Google Stadia. At Splash Damage we're always looking to innovate, and always looking for partners and platforms that allow us to do just that.

Fuck anyone signing for these scummy deals. Probably the most anti consumer deals ever. Millions of gamers will not have opportunity to play Stadia exclusive games just because the service is only available in 20 countries or so.

I'm curious, how many people here are Game Pass subscribers? If yes, what version do you have? Xbox Game Pass? PC Game Pass? Game Pass Ultimate?

I'm ultimate. I have about a year and a half I think...

Every one is another person doing damage control lol. I see no reason for Xbox leaning fans to prove anything. If it wasn’t a big deal we would have 1 thread to talk about it.

Yeah, every one I've looked at has had people doing damage control for Sony. Propping up Sony's supposed "higher clocks on less cores is better" secret sauce, even though multiple tech sites have already said that is bogus based on how Navi GPU's respond to overclocking. Acting like Sony's faster SSD is going to amount to anything in 3rd party games except for a few seconds faster load times and slightly less texture pop-in. I keep seeing them say that the faster SSD wil reduce install times as well, but I find that highly unlikely, most likely either the speed of the blu-ray drive or the speed of your internet connection is going to limit your install speed before the SSD will, since XB1's SSD is already plenty fast in write speeds, 40x faster than the 5400 RPM hard drive in XB1 was. And of course most of them ignore the fact that Digital Foundry is saying that PS5 can't run the boost clocks on both the CPU and GPU at the same time without overheating, devs will have to choose if they want faster CPU or GPU based on rather their game is more CPU or GPU intensive, and without that boost clock either the CPU or GPU performance will then fall quite a bit behind XSX.

It's so draining and I fear it's only the beginning.

We don't even have all the information on the consoles yet not to mention real world usage and comparisons...

I've also bought less games since game pass. But I do buy dlc-expansions for game pass games like Metro: Exodus.

haha same. Feels weird owning DLCs but not the base games lol.

So far bought DLC for the following Game Pass games:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Shantae Half-Genie Hero (before it was part of GwG)
Dirt Rally 2.0
Guacamelee 2
Layers of Fear

DLCs on my wishlist for Game Pass games but still too expensive (or I'd first need to play through the base game)

Metro Exodus
Wolfenstein II
Super Lucky's Tale
Rage 2
Sniper Elite 4
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden
Cities Skylines (leaving Game Pass so no luck here)

Have Wolfenstein II, and Metro Exodus Season Pass on my wish list I’m just waiting for a possible sale that could reduce them a little bit lower.

I bought the Surge 2 Season Pass and add-ons because of the discount.

I'm shocked that MS hasn't closed the Gamepass Ultimate conversion loophole yet. Just bought a 1 month Gamepass Ultimate code through MS Rewards for 12,000 points ($12 equivalent) and it converted the remainder of my Xbox Live Gold to Gamepass Ultimate. I now have Gamepass Ultimate for 9 months. I'm glad that they haven't closed it of course, just surprised that they haven't. Now I can play all of this years exclusives day one, including Halo Infinite.

I used a 14 day trial and it added it to my 1 year Gold, if I buy another 1 year will it extend both?

I counted 98 devs.

Doesn't InXile have a VR team still or did they disband it? I'm also predicting that Project Mara will have VR support, Idk if it will be that costly to have Xbox support on these VR headsets, content may be a problem, how many console VR titles does PS4 have? (Not developed or owned by Sony studios).

MS studios can always make games that can still support VR on PC, like Project Mara, Hellblade and The Mages Tale, but I doubt that any of them will ever make a VR only title unless MS makes their own Xbox VR headset. I would rather they not go down this route myself.

Sony recently closed down one of their 1st Party VR Studios, but Insomniac has experience in VR titles so I have no doubt that they will make some VR exclusives in the future.
