I mean, I also wanted the radar to be expanded beyond what it was in the beta (and still do for any mode that has one), but I'm fine with them removing radar entirely for ranked. If I know that aid/crutch isn't there in the bottom left at all, I'll probably end up playing somewhat differently, and also some of the impact is psychological. If I have a radar, and get killed from behind, my first thought can easily be "fuck that shitty radar, it didn't tell me anything about someone being behind me...." as compared to if there's no radar, I'll be thinking "well shit...should paid more attention to how I positioned myself."

No motion tracker puts you in a position were you need better positioning and communication with your tam. Learning call out locations becomes super important from launch.

They're good changes tbh.... Would have liked to see nade hit markers stay though. You usually use them to deny area or get information on whether someone is in a particular spot in higher ranked play rather than kill.

Wow, there was something FINALLY said about FFXIV on Xbox yesterday lol. Looks like Phil wasn't lying after all.

Naoki Yoshida in an interview said, "we are still in discussions with Microsoft and I feel like our discussions are going in a positive-like ton. I don't want to say we do have an Xbox version, but I'm hoping that the timing will be very soon that I will have some kind of update to the players."

Footage was captured from a couple of Patreon members not DF.

There is too much pop-in going on for me.  It is really bad on Xbox One, One X, plenty on Series S, Less on the Series X but bad enough for it to be distracting.  I was looking forward to playing this one, but I'm going to skip it for now.  Just gonna wait for Halo.

I think there is a really good chance we will see a reveal trailer(CGI) for this game at E3 next year.

I think the Halo Infinite ranked/competitive gameplay settings are great, and the best it's been since Halo 3.

Didn’t really like Back 4 Bloode. Something about the gameplay felt off.

For anyone calling for more Japanese games on Xbox, I hope you've all taken the chance to play Tales of Arise. One of the best games I've played in years so far, right up there with Persona 5 and DQXI (in regards to JRPGs).

I had lots of fun with Scarlet Nexus, but the writing was incredibly laborious-- scenes with no real dramatic tension dragging on for-goddamn-ever --and I made the huge mistake of committing to see all the bonding episodes.

Tales of Arise has been a great deal more enjoyable. From what I've played I've loved every second of it.

I've been playing it for around 40-50 hours already, still a few steps left to even complete the main story. The game is great and actually way better than I expected. If we talk specifically about Xbox games, then it's easily the strong contender to become the Xbox GOTY for me. Highly doubt that any other game that can come out before the end of the year can come close to ToA personally for me.

Xbox Two Podcast

  • Jez basically reconfirms what we know about Mojang, he said it's actually in the sale contract that Microsoft has to remain hands off which explains how Mojang can basically do anything they want, Xbox has little control over them and if they want something will have to get their Redmond team to do it.
  • Jez says he has no information to suggest that Killer Instinct is in development but he also says that he had zero information about Kojima either so that doesn't mean much.
  • He says the team size on Avowed is about 125 (Obsidian) but he has no idea on the amount of contractors.
  • Confirms again that Avowed is set in The Living Lands, very colourful, ancient temples.
  • He has also seen The Outer Worlds 2 and Josh Sawyer's project.
  • Josh Sawyer's project is smaller in scope, about the same size as Grounded's team.
  • Obsidian want to release a game every year for the next 7 years according to Jez.
  • He's seen other games, leaked other codenames; Project Shaolin, Project Belfrey? (Dunno if I'm spelling that right).
  • He's seen Compulsion's next game and it is "very interesting" and he is excited about it. He confirms Klobrille's leak that it is a "dark fantasy, 3rd person"
  • He knows for a fact that Project Dragon is going ahead.
  • There's a smaller indie studio that makes some quite popular games that Microsoft is working with which he thinks could be announced pretty soon.

He confirmed that the studio making the AAA MMO cloud based game is Mainframe.

About 120 devs each for Avowed and TOW 2, he has already seen gameplay for both games as well so they are in a playable state.
