How does this compare with dialogue lines of other WRPGs?
I didn't get much chance to play the multiplayer of infinite but it seems pretty good. Just some jank to iron out.
It sounds like Xbox's TGS show was solid. Nothing crazy announced, but stuff like Xcloud launching in Japan(should be huge for the brand), Scarlet Nexus and AI: Somnium Files coming to Game Pass, localization of big 1st party titles, and other stuff shows Xbox's commitment to the Japanese market.

It can have release date announcement there (I think it hasn't been confirmed yet). Falls under "exclusive content" category which was teased. I also expect AI: The Somnium Files Xbox port at some point as we already know that the sequel is coming to Xbox. I would be surprised if they don't port the first one to Xbox and I think announcing it at TGS makes sense as it's not a very popular game and it's been two years since it's release I think. Would fit for TGS-tier announcement. What else? Who knows. But to temper expectations - it would be better off not to expect anything other than indies in terms of exclusive content and maybe a couple of old AA games ports announcements - with all of them coming day one to GamePass obviously. |
It was quite an easy guess ![]()
P.S. Scarlet Nexus on GamePass is nice for everyone who wanted to give it a try, but I'm a bit disappointed that this is another confirmation that it didn't perform really well sales-wise.

So it’s very likely TEW3.

That seems like sort of a clueless statement to make by Phil, if he did in fact say it. If you're announcing the acquisition of a studio/publisher, it doesn't really matter where or how you announce it, if it's someone of any perceived significance to the general gaming public, then people are going to make a big deal out of it regardless, and it'll become a PR situation one way or another.
Literally, Phil only has to look at what happened with Bethesda as an example of this. They announced it via blog, and on twitter, not on any kind of big stage. And what happened? It blew up in like 2 minutes. Cus of course it did. Are the people at Bethesda gonna feel like they were less "treated as a PR win" because Phil didn't stand on a stage somewhere and say their name? Is getting like a whole ass blog, and everyone at Xbox tweeting "LOOK WHAT WE DID!" really appreciably less fanfare? It's all irrelevant if you ask me.
None of the Studios Sony grabbed affect Xbox whatsoever since they already had established relationships with Sony. None aren’t exactly big names either and BluePoint/Housemarque might as well have been 1st party already.

ZeniMax/Bethesda acquisition is far bigger than those 5 Sony acquisitions combined. |
Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Bethesda Game Studios are individually worth about 1 billion each imo, even if you add the Insomniac who were purchased for over 200 million those 3 I mentioned would be still worth more by themselves.

Don't forget Starfield. It might be a new IP, but I expect it to have a huge launch and hype on the same level as Cyberpunk 2077. Now lets hope it isn't as broken as Cyberpunk. |
Yeah Starfield has the potential of being an IP on the level of Fallout and Elder Scrolls, MS grabbed them at the right moment.
