Switch is just superb
PS4 barely above 7k, less than one quarter from last year
Everybody else is dead already

Are digital sales reflected for any of the platforms in Famitsu charts? What about the worldwide sales estimates here on VGC? Do those estimate digital? I'd be interested in that metric being estimated to get a clear picture of the market. I wonder which console has the biggest digital market.

Digital sales are not included in the weekly Famitsu charts.

VGC now puts shipment numbers on game pages, those numbers are shipped physical copies plus sold through digital copies. VGC articles usually state if their numbers are retail-only, retail plus digital sell-through, or shipped.

The digital share of global game sales should be the highest on Xbox, slightly ahead of PS; but overall more digital games are sold on PS due to the big discrepancy in installed bases. Switch has the lowest digital share by a notable margin.



Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

The first trailer of Brain Training didn't look promising for a hardware mover as it basically showed the same old concept. This stands in contrast to Ring Fit Adventure that isn't a retread of Wii Fit.

Updated the OP with the charts. Switch flat WoW.

Week 47 marks the fifth best week of the year for the SW and the worst week for the PS4. In order to be in the top for the SW has to sell over 180k and the PS4 more than 34k.

Pokemon crazyness far from over and RFA with stock problems hanging on. OG still selling more than Lite. Japanese love the best version of the SW

I don't think so. "The casualz" have shown time and time again that they aren't idiots, so the new Brain Training will likely be a short blip on the sales charts and quickly forgotten.

Look at these sales for Ring Fit despite the low supply available :o It barely got down. I hope it's worldwide sales are just as good honestly !

Anywoo, I don't need to say more than Switch is the GOAT this year, maintaining sales over the last week is impressive !

I know holiday sales are far more muted in Japan than in Europe or especially the US, but having the lowest weekly sales during that period just feels so wrong to me. It tells me that the demand for the PS4 is breaking away, so next year sales will probably be pretty low.
