You're ignoring hint 2 at this point. I think it was pretty obvious based on what I said there...

I did, but couldnt find much of a hint in the HM :c. If by "corridor" you mean a song track of a Guitar Hero/Rock Band game maybe... Guitar Hero 3? Thinking about the Through the Fire and Flames track.  

I guess imma let you down, not much else comes to mind.

Hint 3 - A corridor in one of the game's latter stages is particularly infamous.

So it's definitely a Castlevania game, I'll guess Castlevania Bloodlines.

You got the series right, but not the game. It's, um, still clunkier than that.

I'll have to guess the original Castlevania then, that's clunky and the corridor before Death is pretty bad news. But I suppose if you're heading towards death, then things are pretty bad. The game has a secret metaphor?
