OMG. You Have WWZ on here as an option, and don't have Return Of The Living Dead.....I have to move you down one full peg on the big board.

I felt compelled to include it just because it's one of the "major" zombie film releases, but yeah, the fact that it ranks dead last in pretty much every single poll taken on the subject, both ones that I've posted and ones I've seen posted on other boards pretty much puts those "ZOMG WWZ EZ DA BES ZOMBAY MUVAY EVUHR!111!" comments I've read on various YouTube vids to bed.

So many plot/logic holes and implausibilities, stupid shaky cams to where I can't tell what's going on, cookie cutter throwaway characters with no depth or personality, oh, and did I forget to mention that it's a watered-down zombie movie with no blood and very little on-screen violence? Seriously, that's like making a Jet-Li movie where he doesn't beat people up, talk about a cardinal sin. I miss seeing this message every time you booted up the Resident Evil games:

I wish the RE2make would've included it just to bring back that nostalgic feel. Oh and BTW, I just saw Zombieland: Double Tap. It was pretty good, but I liked the first one better.

100% night of the living dead 1968 followed by original Dawn of the dead, the atmosphere is perfect in both. Zombies were perfect as well.

Man I wish Romero made that Resident Evil Film, I think he would have made it awesome.

I thought it was called Return to Zombieland (that's what I get for watching the trailer in another language).  When did that come out?

When my text while watching ass put the phone down because I was interested enough to be willing to read the subtitles then you know it’s good. And that ending! 😭

1. Dawn of the Dead '78
2. Shaun of the Dead
3. Toss up between Zombieland and 28 days later.

Genuinely the one I can always go back and watch my HDDVD copy of....

Shaun of the Dead.

It's close to being a perfect movie imo, has romance, family, drama, comedy, zombies, vinyl and an absolute ton of "Show don't tell" going on which means you can get extra stuff each time you rewatch it.

I remember that one. It was the one with the guy's girlfriend becoming a zombie, right? The Return films I thought were an interesting and humorous take on the genre, and they were the ones that gave us the whole "brain-eating zombies" trope. These zombies were actually sentient, something you don't see too often in the genre.

But for serious zombie films I still like Night and Dawn the best, and for more lighthearted fare I prefer Zombieland and Shaun.

I don't watch many zombie movies, but I certainly enjoyed a few of them.

Zombieland was pretty good, but it had no sequel until recently, and the ending felt abrupt to me.

World War Z was entertaining, but not a good movie and not a good ending.

Although not zombies, just infected mutants. I prefer I am Legend the most aside from the theatrical ending. I prefer when directors get creative with as few actors as possible.

One Cut of the Dead is what i'll recommend. it is truly something else.. and in a way original.
