Galaxy is the best Mario game to date, and frankly the most perfect game ever created. But 3D world is better than Odyssey and Sunshine. Sunshine was ok at best.

Thats how I view 3D World.... on the level of Super Mario Sunshine.
I think it gets way to much praise on this forum.

Its not in the same league as Odyssey or Galaxy.
Not even close to being what 64, was for its console back in the day.

I wonder how much is impacted by the way 3D World was played.  I played almost exclusively couch coop with the wife, and it was a blast.  Single player may not be a great, but for couch coop, 3D World is the best in gaming.

I've played couch coop with kids and solo by myself I just prefer the way all 5 characters control and feel 3d world. I honestly feel this game would be viewed differently if it was released as a new game on the switch instead of Wii U(just like tropical freeze was bashed as being unambitious on Wii u but now that its on the switch many consider it one of the best 2 platformers ever made)

Afaik, only 3D Land.
The others are different.
