God, please, no!

You could have named so many good studios, and you managed to name the worst one you could.

You could have said Obsidian, inXile, Beamdog... so many great RPG studios...

How about buying Shin'en Multimedia? They are very good programmers, imagine what they could do with an actual budget...

Calm down lol. I clarified later I'd rather it be something like Bioware from the old days rather than modern Bethesda. I've only beaten like one Bethesda game and I was very unimpressed (Skyrim) so it's not like I'm obsessed with them. Just the one my fingers decided to type. If Nintendo had a team that could pump out Kotor/ME1/Third Age kind of RPGs I would be delighted.

I rather Bofferbrauer's idea with buying Shin'en Multimedia, and finally putting them to work with the F-Zero license!!

And a new Excite Trucks while we're at it! And of course, with Fast Racing becoming a Nintendo IP, that would give them at least 3 IP to work on

Hopefully that doesn't stretch them too thin.

If they would make one each per Gen, that shouldn't be much of a problem.

They could still recruit new staff too, right?

Yes. It's served Sony super well. North America is the largest audience for video games, some more western-oriented games would hardly be a bad thing. They should probably just buy Next Level Games at this point, considering they developed Punch-Out!!, 2 Luigi's Mansion games, and the Mario Strikers games. And where is Mario Strikers 3 while we're at it?

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 125 million (was 73, then 96, then 113 million)

PS5: 105 million Xbox Series S/X: 60 million

PS4: 122 mil (was 100 then 130 million) Xbox One: 50 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

So much this.

Don't hold any studio under Nintendo's watch to the same standards as any third party. Nintendo may put its name on a turd every once in a while, but it's not going to allow a collossal screw up on the level of ME Andromeda, Failout 76, or Anthem.

Look at all the western devs that were once second-party studios for Nintendo or that had some sort of close partnership, and do a before and after comparison on them (Rare, Silicon Knights, Factor 5 to get you started). You'll quickly find a trend that says, "These guys were awesome when they were on Nintendo's payroll, then went to hell once they weren't."

Wish Nintendo found a talented Western developer to make a new Star Fox in the vein of Starlink.
