checking Taobao.com (shopping site under Alibaba), multiple sellers have already listed the game. Some of them are big seller on taobao so I feel that this might be real. You can check it yourself, all the listings are still there. Just type "巫师3ns" into the search bar."

Pretty huge if true. Witcher 3 is a game that just keeps showing up in rumors for a Switch version. There's been job listings that hint at it, french retailers listing it, among many other rumors of this port. At this point, I see this as likely happening, but as always take this with a grain of salt for now. Do you guys believe?

Suggestion: could we possibly change the title and have this be the "Witcher 3 revealed for Switch" thread now, given the fact the actual thread on that was unfortunately made in bad faith then locked?

Store page is up with a few screenshots

Eh, some of the screenshots look really good:

And then others look really bad...

Seems very inconsistent in quality.

PS4 version of that second scene:

Biggest differences are Lighting effects and Texture Resolution, Switch is missing a lot of shadows. The people/horses are casting shadows but many trees are not. But assuming the framerate is good I still think it's a fine port. The first screenshot looks great.

Those pics looks really good cobsidering the Switch capabilities.

Pocky Lover Boy!

They seem to be taking a page from Monolith Soft's playbook and putting a big priority on preserving the far distance detail as much as possible. It's very apparent in that second screenshot. The results will naturally be somewhat uneven given the sheer scope of the game but given it is a third person game, I think the big picture will hold up rather well, especially in handheld mode.

The shadow difference is a lot to do with ambient occlusion being scaled back.  Though there is one normal old shadow mysteriously missing.  Wonder if that was a bug or something.

It won't be the prettiest game on Switch, just as, say, the COD ports on Wii weren't that system's prettiest games. Still, while I haven't played it myself yet, I was under the impression that most of what was considered great about Witcher 3 was its gameplay and story.

Sure, it helped that it looked great on PS4/Xbone and PC, but I never got the impression that it was one of those games where graphics were the main attraction, such that a less pretty version wouldn't still be great.

I am looking at the two screens from a phone and I can honestly not see any real difference other than the brightness on the second one is up higher.
