There were a lot of good announcements this month so this was a tough vote. In the end I went with Link's Awakening, just because Zelda is my favorite franchise overall, especially the pre-Ocarina games, and I haven't played Link's Awakening yet. But yeah, Mario Maker 2, Astral Chain, and Dragon Quest XI are all games that are must buys for me. There were also several other games that I will probably get at some point: DQ Builders 2, Daemon X Machina, Fire Emblem, etc.... A lot of great games, but in the end I'm looking forward to Link's Awakening the most.

*Also count me as one of those people who expects E3 to be awesome on top of all of this. They may only elaborate more on their first party games instead of announcing new ones, but I also think they will have several third party exclusives lined up. We'll see.

Link’s Awakening for me, as Zelda is my favorite series. Astral Chain looks extraordinary though. I fully expect it to be a game-of-the-year contender. Mario Maker seems great too.

Super Mario Maker 2. It's the only new announcement of 2019 I really wanted. Really nothing else has been interesting yet. We technically knew of Gen 8 of Pokemon since last year, so I wouldn't even count it.
