Ps4 getting closer. It's coming for it's throne! Watch out switch! Also xbox is tragic. At this rate it will sell under 3m units this year by the end of September. No momentum with next gen looming.

I guess this needs some argumentations... |
I don't see what that has to do with my post.

Can't have it both ways and use it when its most convenient xD If anything It doesn't shock me at all that the game didn't do much for Switch. One of the reasons I didn't pick it up again because its just an ehh game and not worth a re-purchase for me, if you've played it on Wii U, you've already played this and if you've played any of the NSMB series in general, you've already played it. It will prob sell well to the current Switch userbase but no one will pick up a Switch just to play it. As far as the numbers, Switch once again ahead, they've been ahead for awhile now, but this will change come mid/end January with the release of RE 2 and KH3. Due to Nintendo currently squandering early 2019. I can't see PS4 losing WW on a weekly basis after Mid Jan, PS4 will control most of 2019 unless Nintendo gets back on the ball. |
Yeah at this rate the first half of the year is looking like another missed opportunity for Switch. They need to get back into the habit of putting a heavy hitter in March-May like they did with MK8, Splatoon 1, and BOTW to drive momentum.
I mean who knows, they could surprise us and have Fire Emblem in April and Animal Crossing in June, but at this stage it's not looking good.
Man the XB1 is not doing great smh. The PS4 still holding strong....the thing is a monster! And the Switch takes the crown very nice!
The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

Post holiday sales are always going to show a drop, NSMBU DX will be a long term seller and its goal shouldn't be to cause a big boost but to keep sales stable throughout this quarter. |
I hope that's the case. Although then again 250k could just be the new baseline.

Last year NS-204,361 PS4-269,094 XBO-82,461 3DS-70,481 Vita-7955 |
So everything except Switch is down YOY.
Makes sense given the age of the other systems, I suppose. They're declining with age while Switch is still getting started.
Last edited by curl-6 - on 04 February 2019New Super Mario was released on january 11th, so The chart is only about 2 days of sales. So the spike is over 2 weeks and not only one. We saw it with SSBU. If the numbers for Japan from Nintendolife are right :
Current week of the thread :
NS 78K
PS4 18K
Following week
NS 71K
PS4 16K
KH3 + RE2's week
PS4 52.6K
NS 52.4K
PS4 keep doing it's great number. This year it's :

Beats PS1 /

This year the PS4 will become the 2nd best-selling home console of all time.

I lost at how many times i was criticized for questioning Nintendo's strategy of releases…
Wasn't FE scheduled for March/April?
