Doesn't matter how good X1 is right now. There is nothing MS can do to change the sales trend which was set in 2013.

A new article just popped up saying that the PS4 was actually flat yoy.

And btw, they also posted the 20 best selling games of 2018.  I was gonna create a thread about it but I have no idea how to work with graphs over here. So if anyone wants to create it, it would be appreciated it.

A new article just popped up saying that the PS4 was actually flat yoy.

And btw, they also posted the 20 best selling games of 2018.  I was gonna create a thread about it but I have no idea how to work with graphs over here. So if anyone wants to create it, it would be appreciated it.

This doesn't surprise me being that they gave a number for how much the NS was up but didnt give one for the PS4. But being flat YOY isnt a bad thing either when its being compared to the consoles peak year.

Ya being flat is a great result. It looks like US+Japan+UK are roughly flat YoY (give or take a few %).

On other hand, Switch had launch in March 2017. and launch always gave huge sales in any case, and January and February of this year shouldnt be strong in any case. So March of last year should easily be stronger than this years January and February.

PS4 in US and Japan is down YoY.

On other hand it wasn't severely supply constrained this year. 

 

Anyway this is a big victory for the ps4. I had some arguments over on VizionEck with people who were panicking after BF sales in the UK. Sony despite much worse deals are up YOY in the UK. They were right not to cut the price permanently this year. They would have thrown away profits and created an unnecessary shortage.

Wasn't it widely predicted that Sony stuffed the channels big time in 2017 to hit the 20m goal. So for all we know they could be up in 2018 in terms of actual sales.
