I'm going to go with 2017. Best Zelda game ever. Best Mario game since Galaxy 1. And Persona 5, my favorite video game of all time!

Best: 2017. BOTW, Mario Odyssey, Persona 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, Fortnite, Sonic Mania, Xenoblade 2,

Next: 2013: GTA5, 3D World, Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, ALBW, Fire Emblem Awakening, Tomb Raider, Rayman Legends.

2011: Skyrim, Skyward Sword, Portal 2, Arkham City, Deus Ex HR, LA Noire, Rayman Origins

2010: Mass Effect 2, Mario Galaxy 2, Starcraft 2, Civ 5, Halo Reach

2015: Witcher 3, MGS5, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Splatoon, Mario Maker, Rocket League

2017, because of Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Sonic Mania and Hollow Knight

2013 and 2014 were good years too.

Probably 2017 since it had so many great releases.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

The best years for from all of those are 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017. So all the odd years. Weird.

I'll give it to 2017 for the two GOATS (Botw and Odyssey)

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

The best year for gaming was 1987. That was the year the NES actually went nationwide in the US. If you were in the US and not in a huge city (like me), then that was the year that they released Super Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Punch Out, etc....

Anywho, the past 10 years haven't been too great in the grand scheme, but I'd have to pick 2017 for the release of the Switch and Breath of the Wild. I can understand why people would pick 2017 or 2018 as the best year, because the PS4/XB1/WiiU/3DS/Vita generation was a really terrible generation for gaming and the poll shows it. Good riddance. I am ready for the Switch to bring us back into a golden era for gaming.

If this poll went back to 2007 it would have been close, but 2017 easily.

I think that the leading years would be 2017, 2013, and 2010.

I agree that 2017, 2013, and 2010 are among the best years but imo 2009 and 2011 were incredibly strong as well.

I'd have to find out what year had the most of my all time favorites (similar to what Bisa did) in order to be able to pick just one year.

2015 for sure.

Undertale, Witcher 3, Dying Light, Cities Skylines, Heroes of the Storm, Resi HD remaster, Grey Goo, Homeworld remastered collection, Zombie Army trilogy, War for the Overworld, Victor Vran, Satellite Reign, Act of Aggression, Transformers: Devastation, Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void, Trine 3.

2015 was an especially good year for RTS/strategy games in general, compared to recent years, where RTS games have largely fallen into obscurity.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

2009 - Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 Demon's Souls and Left 4 Dead 2 was amazing!!
