Purely singleplayer wise last gen was mass effect.

This gen its gotta be horizon zero dawn. Its also my fav sony exclusive by a long shot followed by GT

God of War hands down (likely my favorite game of all time). Then Transistor, Pyre, Uncharted 4. HZD third. 

Full disclosure, I’m only about 5h into RDR2 and haven’t played Celeste yet. Have a feeling those could contend for GOTG second place.

Hey now, people can't be wrong when it's opinion based :P

For me, BotW doesn't even come close. 


I think it's a tie between Super Mario Odyssey and Smash Bros. Ultimate.

In a generation with the likes of Red Dead 2, Zelda BOTW, Bloodborne, God of War, Persona 5, Mario Odyssey, and Uncharted 4 only one game reigns supreme.
