To be honest, I'd much rather R* make a new IP in VR. Love RDR and I seem to be one of the few on this site thst thinks it's a masterpiece and deserving of it's critical praise but I think it's much better off being flat, especailly with how ot is designed and where the most fun is. I've tried first person for a few hours, it's a subpar experience even if the impression is slightly improved but it ruins the game in my opinion. I'd have to deduct points... like a lot pf points from this is it was only forst person so I can't image VR making it any better.

Happy for ya :D woth BL. It's a great game. I've bought Boarderlands 2 twice. Ouch but I'll probanly buy it again for VR. Fortunately, only put a dozen hours into both because I got sistracted so in the same boat as you basically. It's a for sure hit ig they get the implementation right as the base game is fantastic.

True, the current implementation of first person handling is pretty bad and completely not suited to VR. It's still a lot cheaper to add a good first person view for VR than build a game from the ground up though. I'd be happy with LA Noire as well, plenty to explore there. GTA 5 would of course sell in VR. Borderlands first anyway :)

PSVR is really great, not that many games that are worth their price though imo. But from the titles I have played and liked, there's so much potential and can't wait to see what they bring to the table with better tech w/ ps5

I decided to upgrade. Tomorrow's black Friday deal is too good to pass up. CAD 250 for PSVR + camera + physical copy of Astrobot + download code for Moss + CAD 50 gift card. I was looking for a physical copy for Astrobot and a new camera as my son keeps taking it away to use as a microphone for Fortnite. So it's basically CAD 75 for a new headset and 4K pass through breakout box. (compared to the CAD 100 I payed for RDR2)

So, since we have a ps4 and a pro, what games can be played together :)

I steer far away from VR games,i would lose my sense of control over the game and go in stressmode.
Otherwise i find it a good addition for those that enjoy it but it could use a more extensive gamelibrary to make it worth the buy.

There are currently 342 titles listed in the psvr catalog (that includes apps and demos) The game library is pretty extensive for a 2 year old product.
You actually feel more in control of the game. I was just trying Neverout. It made perfect sense in VR. Then I tried the game on the tv and couldn't figure out up and down...

The real problem of VR is that every time I try to play my kids come in and want to play. My 7 year old is currently messing around in I expect you to die.

Did it arrive yet Bandor? Impressions?

It has finally arrived.  First it got delayed. Then thanksgiving delayed it again. Then I got an e-mail saying "whoops, how about monday".  Then it came late enough Monday I didn't have time to set it up.

I believe it is now set up. I'm fairly unsure about a lot of things.

Like I thought light was bad, but it tells me I need more light for the camera to see me.  Some things look blurry some don't.

Astro Boy looks great, where as Moss looks like a blurry mess. If I can play Astro boy while sitting down and my camera on top of the TV - why do I have to move it for moss?

Also the "make sure your centered" thing is really weird.  One of them I'm looking for red and blue dots. Yet another I'm looking for a weird shadow I think?

The demo disc has an under water one. It is really creepy to look down and not see any feet.

Astro buy is great. I got all the "astros" in the first level, but what is that last icon? It looks like a lizard or something?

  • Deadliest high school shooting in US history (02/14/2018)
  • Deadliest massacre of Jews in US history (10/27/2018)
  • Political assassination attempt of TWO former presidents(and 10+ other people)  (10/23/2018 - and beyond)

Moss definitely is not a blurry mess. Use the eye calibration tool if there are any problems with blur, and don't be afraid to move the helmet about once on your head, till is exactly right.

Right I didn't think so. So I know it is my setup. I just don't know why I guess?

Thought Astro boy looked fine. So I'm guessing it is the camera, and placement.

So I'll probably work on that aster Astro boy since I don't want to change anything right now when I think it is working.

You need to spot the lizards to unlock the challenge levels. Each level has one.

Moss works perfectly fine with the camera on top of the tv while sitting down. Light is just a suggestion, you can play in pitch dark without issues. I have started VR sessions while it was still light outside to re-enter the real world in a pitch dark room lol.

If it's blurry you might have to re-adjust the headset to the sweet spot (move it slightly around on your head) Do the eye calibration test first anyway, under settings, devices, psvr, measure eye to eye distance. You need the lights on for that :) (And not wear the helmet as I was doing lol)

Did the eye test. Guess I'll have to mess around in moss.  I could barely read the instructions and the controls didn't seem to respond well. So I feel like it isn't just an eye thing.

Spot the lizard huh? Interesting.
