The day mainline Pokemon games become like Pokemon Go/Let's Go is the day I stop playing Pokemon.

And I have bought every generation since the first. I am passing this time and not buying this Let's go dumbed down versions.

If you like Pokemon you'd still like it. I've played every generation and still enjoying Let's go like any other mainline game.

It remove everything I like about Pokemon, so I won't buy it.

It's a dumbed down game for casuals, stripped of all its strategy depth, without any new pokemon and without the core mecanics.  You can as much play Yokai Watch.

This. Random encounters can go but it would be lame if I couldn't battle wild pokémon.

With them charging you and chasing like in Xenoblade ?

That would be great for some of the more aggressive pokemon 

I guess it would depend on the pokemon, some woud be more aggressive and others milder, how do they do it in Pokémon Let's Go?

It's really not as dumbed down as you may think. And its gen one so we should not expect new Pokemon but we atleast got 1 new pokemon.

Would only be fair. Pokemon shouldn't be the only game not ruined by keeping random encounters.
