When I was a reeeeally young child, my father told me that a car advertisement CD was a videogame, only "just like a movie". And I believed it.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

In the mid 2000s I fell in the PC enthusiast trap, burning money on parts that I didn't need. The worst was when I decided that I wanted a silent gaming PC.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

I played Final Fantasy 13.

So, my parents hated taking us to any game stores. It would have to be by some act of God that we did ever go to one. One time we bought The Legend of Zelda Collection on Gamecube and we beat all the games in a couple of weeks so we wanted to trade it in and get Wind Waker. Remember, it was a miracle if we got to go to Gamestop even once every 6 months. So with my parents being very religious we told them we wanted to return the game because it had fairies and demons in the games, lol. Sure enough, the next day they took us up there to trade it in. Man, the stupid stuff you do as a kid.

I bought a one dollar slide, puzzle game from the US store because I had a like 2 dollars left on it after buying some region exclusive VR titles. Played the first puzzle and all the trophies instantly unlocked, I thought my console had broken, it's now a stain on my accounts trophy list that i widh I could delete, it makes me look like a trophy whore and I make it a point to stay at less tha 95 percent of games that are too easy to platinum, I only platinum games that I love and have somewhat of a difficulty to the platinum or are massively impressive like Detroit, GoW and bloodborne which among others are easy platinums but great fun regardless. Have that game on my trophy list has put me off plattibg games unless they are first party sony, giants.

I liked the E.T. game as a kid. Although it's not as bad as everyone says. Try playing Raiders of the Lost Ark for Atari 2600. Now that is a really sucky game.

curl-6 bet me that PS5 + X|S sales would reach 56m before year end 2023 and he was right.

When I was 8 or 10, I once got so angry while playing Pikmin 2 because I couldn't get pass a level without my Pikmin losing their flowers on their heads, that I grabbed the GameCube violently and smashed it against the floor. The machine's laser lens broke and I had to beg my parents to buy me another one, but it took a while.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

When i bought into the "i'm too old for gaming" crap

This is not even that long ago, but I actually bought and played a couple of the Danganronpa games on my PS4. Those are not my type of games at all, I don't know what possessed me to do that. I'm a grown ass man. Must have been a serious lull in the offerings at the time. Weird, over the top, anime style dialog simulators with paper thin game mechanics, yuck.

I've learned very quickly that most anyone who claims to be a "grown ass man" usually doesn't act like one.  With you claiming to be a "grown ass man,"  you should be able to handle:

Child sex abuse...

Sexual fantasies ending in "white" climax.

And stimulation.

All of this brought to you by the Danganronpa side story:Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls.

Granted that all these scenes are not in the Danganronpa main story arc, the Danganronpa main story arc presents itself with adult themed betrayal, murder, gore and court room logic.  Different games appeal to different people regardless of subject matter and age group.  But to claim to be a "grown ass man" based on gaming preference lacks the impression of maturity.

I am not embarrassed by them, but games that I would consider "stains" on my playstation platinum list are:

Ice Age 3
Terminator Salvation
My Name is Mayo

They kinda bring down the rest of the plats that actually required more than just playing the game straight through the story.
