Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Digital Foundry: Diablo III on Switch

The lower resolution is not unexpected, but sad to see.
I would personally sacrifice some fidelity to maintain a native res.

With that... The game holds up well visually thanks to it's strong art style... The game itself can run on a toaster essentially.

I had an inpulse to buy this, then I remember how boring I found D3 to be compared to D2 on the computer.

Have you tried it on any console? I think it plays much better with a controller. Although if you find it boring, this would be irrelevant.

You can play it with a controller on PC.

However... The inherent issues with Diablo 3 over Diablo 2 seem to be mostly because Blizzard have "dumbed down" allot of mechanics to appeal to more casual audiences.

Oh, didn't know that. And I agree, D3 is dumbed down, and developed by a team that had not the same vision as the one D2 did. But it's still fun to clear 2-3 Rifts whilst commuting :)

Anyone know if this can be played with random unknown people online?

I think as long as you have NSO, random people can join in / out on your game (assuming you have set it to public).

My main issue is that the skills you choose does not matter in D3 since it’s only to reassign skills.

I had to doubledip on this game.. and I dont regret it one bit.. playing it on the switch with the pro controller is perfect.. and handheld mode works aswell.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)
