Ha, I support GoG, which is DRM free and trumps the rest, so I'm not sure what you're smoking mate, but it ain't healthy. Also, supporting the mod community while the other clients don't is a pro consumer practice, but I'm sure you knew that already, but don't care.

You support the largest at the end of the day when it comes to being anti-consumer, but I know ye old mirror arguments by now Kero, deflects don't work and they add to derailing the thread itself (which it already has by now).

I know, but I'm also very, very well aware that not everyone is even able to afford more than two all the time, let alone being interested. My next door neighbor is one example, since he was into computers when I was a kid, but he's now into consoles as he's a lot older. His son was brought up on consoles, but I showed him AoE 2 and now he plays PC, it's been easier for him since he's moved over to study at Uni as well, so that's his own situation. 

As for me I own a Switch/PC because that's honestly what I want. For me, there are many more variables that basically put me off wanting to grab the other two, and it's not simply down to "hate" or anything like that. 

I just want to play games I like the most, and it happens that those games are either on PC or indies like on Switch on the go (or PC via modding communities). 

So after 81 reviews for ps4 and 31 for xb1 it stands at 97. May change up or down but i think it's safe to say we have the game of the gen. Beating God of war.

Can't wait to get this and spiderman around Christmas and enjoy them on my pro. Greatness awaits.

Man, this really has been a great year on PS4/Switch, and while Red Dead is not the last 'big' release of the year (That honor goes to Smash), I can't imagine being happier. Between Dark Souls Remastered, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, God of War, Spiderman, Red Dead Redemption, Mega Man 11, Smash, and Octopath Traveler, this might be one of my all-time favourite years in gaming.

I still gotta get Assassin's Creed Odyssey, but I gotta beat Origins first.

and yes, I know games like DKC and Dark Souls are rereleases, but still. I guess by that account you could say that the Mega Man and Mega Man X LEgacy Collections are both awesome.

I guess Red Dead Redemption 2 and God of War are fighting for the Game of the Year throne. Both games everyone should play.

Uh ... actually ... the tastes of consumers DO change the value of a game? Lol. Metacritic has never determined the value of something. Profitability is the second closest measure, but even that's flawed because people can buy a game and not like it, which is clearly what has happened to many here. Sad truth is we'll never know the value of games at an objective level, the best we can do is try to assess popular opinion which is the closest benchmark. 

I would be interested to know why one person did not give the full score. Is it possible to view/read Famitsu-reviews on the internet?

I really like Red Dead 2 but don't let metacritic determine the end all be all of whether a game is better than another. I still feel that God of War is a better all around game. Just my opinion.
